I recently discovered this location with some new friends. We had a relaxing weekend with delicious food and first class service. I was able to enjoy the sounds of nature, bird watching and amazing panoramic views each evening. Thanks again to the Maili Saba Camp staff!

My third visit to this little camp which is part of a foundation helping disadvantaged people, particularly girls, by giving them training for a career in hospitality. It is well run, in fact they cannot do enough for you. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, have views over the Crater, and they even offer a hot water bottle. Good food, simple surroundings to make one feel at ease. Absolutely love it and will go again. It is so friendly. Lovely massage by Lucy, interesting walk in the Caldera. All the staff were excellent.

What a wonderful place to stay, all the staff just could not do enough for us and a special mention to James and Lillian. Have a massage from Lucy who is a very talented lady with her guiding skills too. The views are amazing and the whole ethics of the camp are to be congratulated.

I am posting my 12 yo son’s review written from his perspective. Upon our afternoon arrival at the resort, we were greeted warmly by the staff. My younger brother (9) and I (12) embarked on an exploration of the premises. Within minutes, we stumbled upon a swimming pool. Returning to the reception area, we were welcomed with glasses of delicious mango juice. We were then escorted to our room, which boasted a stunning view of the caldera in which the resort was nestled. Surrounded by lush foliage, the room provided a scenic viewpoint that was truly breathtaking. Inside, we found our beds neatly made and the room spacious. A further inspection revealed a large bathroom and an additional kids room. Excited by the discovery of the pool, my brother and I were slightly disappointed to find leaves and debris in the pool. However, upon our request, the staff brought it to a pristine condition within 5 minutes. We enjoyed a good swim before changing and resuming our exploration while my parents went for a massage in the spa. The dinner options were enticing, offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes over three courses. A cozy fireplace in the dining room was a nice prelude to the sumptuous meal! Overall, our experience at the resort was memorable, marked by excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and comfortable accommodations. The initial cleanliness of the pool was a minor setback, but the staff’s quick response and the overall cleanliness of the resort more than made up for it. We look forward to our next visit.

We spent 2 nights at Maili Saba Lodge. It's a very friendly and welcoming place and staff is amazing. Food is excellent! Natural surroundings of Menengai crater are perfect for hiking, bird watching or just relaxing. They even offer massage and bonfire adventure with magnificent sunset. We highly recommend this place. It's very good value for money and perfect for body and soul.

The camp has breathtaking views. The atmosphere is relaxed and lay back. The food is very good. Half of the tents have been renewed, and the rest will follow soon. The camp is part of Ujima foundation and the profit will go to train vulnerable youth. There was an apprentice of Ujima, and she did her very best! I did a hike with a great guide, lucy, we went into the caldera and back up, really worthwhile. This place is highly recommended to relax, hike, chat over great food and do some bird watching. And a chat with James the very welcoming manager.
