Weiguang Garden Hostel (Nanchang Tengwang Pavilion Wanshou Palace)

It is the youth hostel with the most complete facilities I have ever stayed in. It basically has everything. The lady at the front desk is very enthusiastic and responsive to all requests and questions. The recommended mixed noodles and clay pot soup are delicious. The male and female dormitories are separated, which is very convenient. It is very close to Tengwang Pavilion, and it is very convenient to go everywhere.

This stay was absolutely fantastic! Upon arrival, the front desk staff warmly greeted us. Check-in was quick and efficient, and they provided helpful information about the hotel's services and nearby attractions. The hotel's location is also fantastic, with numerous restaurants and shopping malls within a few minutes' walk. Getting around is also very convenient, with a subway station nearby.

This is my second time in Nanchang, and my first time staying so close to the tourist attractions. I was worried it would be hard to find in a residential area, but it turned out to be very cozy and welcoming. Although there were more men than women sharing a room, everyone followed the rules and was on a separate floor from the women, showing respect for them! The owner even organized a UNO game in the evening, but I was too tired to join in. I hope to come again next time! I highly recommend it to everyone.

This is a stand-alone youth hostel with a great location, about a 5-minute walk from Tengwang Pavilion and about a 5-minute walk from the subway station! The lobby is stylishly decorated, like a cafe, and even has a garden! I arrived at noon, and the front desk told me check-in would be at 2:00 PM, so I had to wait about half an hour. The front desk staff wasn't very experienced, and it took six or seven minutes to check in! I hope they can provide more training! They provide a bottle of purified water, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. The first floor houses the men's area, a separate dining area, and a shoe-changing area. The second and third floors are for the women's area. Slippers are provided, along with a disinfection cabinet, but the slippers are of average quality and comfort. There's no elevator, but the staff will help with luggage. The room was average, with two outlets and a USB port near the bed, which was quite practical. There was also a basket for daily necessities! The linen curtains were decent for blocking out light, but the rails were a little stuck when I pulled them. There are lockers with lockers, but the door on my locker was a little sticky and difficult to close. The hallway lighting was a bit dim. It's a public bathroom with air conditioning and a laundry area on the third floor! There's no dryer! They didn't offer a variety of pillow heights, which I personally find a bit too high. Another negative point: the next day, when I asked the front desk, they said I needed to buy purified water and toothbrushes, but they only provided them once, free of charge. There's no water dispenser! The front desk organizes movies, board games, and other activities in the evening! Overall, the hotel was decent, with both strengths and weaknesses. I hope the hotel can improve its management.

First, the common area on the first floor is quite large, but the glass door is covered in fingerprints and the walls are infested with small flying insects, giving it a poor and unhygienic appearance. The clothes drying area in the common area is quite small, and many people leave their dried clothes there, making it even more crowded. Second, the room smells stuffy and airless. I don't know if it's because the new furniture hasn't completely dissipated the formaldehyde. The rooms are also very small, both the 4-person and 6-person rooms feel tiny and less than 10 square meters. Third, the bathroom design is utterly illogical. There are quite a few cubicles, but they're incredibly small. A 180cm tall person standing there would practically fill them up. This is completely unnecessary. It would be better to have fewer cubicles and larger ones. The sink is also quite large, easily getting clothes wet. Otherwise, the overall cleanliness is average; I wouldn't say it's exceptionally clean. (The most embarrassing thing is that I've stayed in other youth hostels before, and they were all quite good. This time, I brought friends to try a youth hostel, and they had a bad experience. I feel really bad.)

Facilities: This is a newly opened hotel, so the facilities are quite new. I stayed in a double room, which was quite pleasant. It had air conditioning, but the room had only one light, which was dim and lacked ventilation. Each bed had a curtain, which was convenient. The bathroom had multiple mirrors and a floodlight, and both shampoo and shower gel were provided. Cleanliness: The cleanliness seemed a bit shabby. They had a quick setup before arriving. There was dust on the bed, construction debris under the bed, and a lot of dust on the toilet and bathroom walls. Of course, I also saw the maid cleaning the toilet every day, which was very hard work. Ambience: The overall ambiance was good. The hotel is located in the old town, but from the outside, it looks quite upscale, which doesn't fit in with the old buildings around it. Ordering takeout was convenient, with a takeout stand at the front desk. The eating area was a separate, clean area with air conditioning. Service: Average.
