Nanjing Jinling Hotel Reviews

We were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary room upgrade. The check-in and check-out procedures were smooth with many staff attending to your every needs. They were all very helpful and professional. The hotel is a bit dated but otherwise well maintained. We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay. Location-wise, the hotel is connected to Xinjiekou station and near to many tourist attractions. Breakfast buffet spread was sumptuous with both Chinese and Western varieties with egg station, noodle station and a variety of beverages. Although a large hotel, breakfast never felt crowded and most mornings I was able to enjoy long and slow breakfast. Highly recommended. 

The room was clean and bright, and the service was fantastic. The front desk kindly upgraded my room to one with a much better view. The staff on the 22nd floor were always attentive and responsive, providing thoughtful and detailed service. The hotel's proximity to Xinjiekou and Deji Plaza makes shopping incredibly convenient. Although it's an older building and felt a bit less spacious, the layout is well-designed, making it practical and functional. The bedding, in particular, was exceptionally comfortable. I found a fascinating book in the room, 'Jinling Hotel: Thirty Years,' which I regret not having had the chance to finish. My only suggestion is that the hanging artwork in the bathroom needs some maintenance or replacement.

Upon check-in, the front desk staff upgraded my room. The entire process was efficient and pleasant. The room amenities were quite modern, cleanliness was excellent, and the view was great, although unfortunately the weather wasn't ideal. The shower, however, felt a bit small for a hotel of this standard. Breakfast was decent. I regret not getting to experience the complimentary executive lounge. Every staff member I encountered during my stay provided consistently excellent service.

It was quite late when I arrived, and I didn't check in until past 11 PM. However, the staff at the guest services center were incredibly accommodating throughout, and any issues were handled promptly. The lady from guest services on the 35th floor was particularly kind and helped me move to a more suitable room. They even upgraded my room type, truly making me feel at home and ensuring my complete satisfaction. After shopping these past two days, the hotel even helped me refrigerate my desserts. A staff member brought my shopping up to my room with a luggage cart. Even during check-out, a staff member assisted me by taking my luggage all the way to my car, loaded it into the trunk, and thoughtfully reminded me that my bubble tea could be placed in the car's cup holder. They even helped me dispose of my trash. Later, I realized I had left my iPad in the room. I contacted the hotel staff, and they promptly arranged for it to be delivered to me. I was very satisfied with the service provided by HT at the guest services center. Every single staff member at the hotel was incredibly friendly and approachable. Next time I visit Nanjing, I will definitely choose Jinling Hotel again.

We stayed at the Asia Pacific Business Building of Jinling Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel has a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, with modern décor and well-maintained facilities. The bell staff helped us with our luggage both upon arrival and departure, which was very convenient. Mr. Zeng at the front desk was professional and courteous, and he took good care of our children during check-in, which we appreciated. The buffet breakfast offered a good selection of Chinese and Western dishes. The local Nanjing specialties were varied and tasted authentic. The hotel’s central location and attentive service made our stay enjoyable, and we would consider staying here again in the future.

A visit to Nanjing isn’t complete without staying at the legendary Jinling Hotel. Its history and thoughtful service make it worthwhile. Special thanks to Odette, the concierge, who warmly explained the Executive Floor benefits and even greeted me personally. Matthew’s efficient check-in at the Executive Lounge was smooth, and the 56th-floor breakfast with city views was fantastic. The restaurant manager was also very welcoming. A big thanks to my housekeeper, Xiao Yi小艺! I’ll definitely choose Jinling Hotel again.

Great facilities! Our suite is beautifully updated for modern amenities in the original Jinling tower. Service and food at Plum Garden are a delight! Thank you to 潘宇仙 and her staff, and 小金 for your hospitality!

Central and strategic location in city centre. 5-star hotel, good service, large and functional in different aspects. Metro station is just next to it and both lines 1 and 2 are available. Room inside is very clean, spacious and cozy with international TV channels. Overall, can't go wrong. Some top notch (and pricey) restaurants here.

My flight got canceled so I needed to extend my stay. OuYang, Naomi, and Aurora helped me securing and extending the same room. This made the stay even better aside from its good location and room quality.

The service was excellent and the rooms cleaned every day. The hotel is in an excellent area and close to many amenities.

Very fine hotel. Laundry service was very expensive. Unable to adjust the temperature in the room which was a bit hot and uncomfortable. Otherwise certainly a five star hotel with excellent food.

Our butler Duncan was fantastic. He offered spectacular service and was responsive. Air conditioning doesnt seem to be working whilst we were there though.
