Novotel Nanjing Central Suning Reviews

Traveling to Nanjing with friends, we chose the Novotel Nanjing Central (Xin Jie Kou), an established brand, and booked three rooms. Pros: The location is excellent, right in the city center with convenient transportation. There are many snack shops downstairs, a Ruixing Coffee and a Peet's Coffee across the street, and an M Coffee right in the lobby. It's easy to get anywhere. They upgraded our rooms for free after we communicated with customer service before check-in, which was very much appreciated. The rooms were clean, the bathroom lights were bright, and there was a mini-fridge. As it's an older hotel, it's understandable that some of the facilities are a bit dated. Cons: The front desk staff checking us in had a sour face. She took our IDs but before finishing our check-in, she started assisting the next person in line. I simply said, 'First come, first served, please handle us one by one.' I don't think I said anything wrong, but the shorter front desk lady immediately put on a stern face. Keep in mind, the front desk service is crucial for a hotel's image, especially for an established four-star hotel. The most disappointing aspect, however, was the breakfast. The duck blood vermicelli soup broth was clear, bland, and tasteless, and the breakfast selection was very limited, not meeting four-star standards. My friend had a cold and cough and asked if they had any emergency medicine like Tylenol or cold medicine, but they didn't, which is surprising for a four-star hotel. The breakfast here is significantly worse compared to other Novotel branches.

The elevators require a key card to operate, and there are four of them, so there's never a long wait and you don't have to worry about chaotic crowds. The breakfast is excellent, with both Western and Chinese options, and the ingredients are fresh and plentiful – definitely not just an afterthought. The room facilities are also top-notch. Even though Nanjing was foggy and rainy with nearly 100% humidity during my stay, the bedding remained clean, dry, and soft, without any damp or sticky discomfort. I genuinely got a good night's sleep. I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip.

I practically always stay here when I visit Nanjing. The location is excellent, right in Xinjiekou, yet it's surprisingly quiet despite being in a bustling area. The room is spacious, clean, and hygienic. The service is incredibly warm and proactive; they even check in on your stay experience. I'll most likely choose to stay here again next time.

The hotel has a fantastic location, very close to the subway station, with lots of shopping malls and snack streets nearby. It's great for dining and shopping. The room was spacious, bright, comfortable, and clean. We had a really good stay. The underground parking has plenty of spaces, so parking was convenient.

Booked two rooms for my parents and me on our trip to Nanjing. The hotel thoughtfully arranged for our rooms to be on the same floor and next to each other, which was really considerate. The rooms came with complimentary bottled water, tea bags, and coffee. The breakfast spread was excellent, and my parents especially enjoyed the freshly made noodle station and the old duck soup. The metro entrance is right outside, just a short walk to the right, and it offers direct access to popular spots like Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and Fuzi Temple. Our whole family gives it a thumbs up!

This hotel is right in the heart of Xinjiekou, just a 3-minute walk from the subway exit. Downstairs, you'll find Deji Plaza and Central Shopping Mall, making shopping incredibly convenient. In the evening, you can easily walk to Mingwaliao for some local snacks, and then return to the hotel to enjoy the night view of Xinjiekou. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was very comfortable, and the front desk service was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanjing!

As someone who's a bit of a clean freak, I was really impressed! The sheets and duvet covers were spotless and odorless. The bathroom had excellent dry/wet separation, and the shower had great water pressure and consistent temperature. They offer both soft and firm pillows, and the blackout curtains are fantastic, making for a very quiet night's sleep. Plus, Suning Life Plaza is right downstairs, so you can sort out dining and movies all in one place. Highly recommend for anyone with high hygiene standards!

They even have robots deliver food when you order takeout! Although the rooms are a bit small, they are clean and tidy. Even though they face the street, there's hardly any noise. Overall, it's a good place and definitely worth choosing.
