Hotels in The Ming Palace and Nanjing Museum Area, Nanjing

Great value for a 5-star hotel! Rooms are spacious and decor is nice, the included buffet breakfast offers a lot of variety and is tasty. The hotel is located right behind the Nanjing Museum, is “close” to the Ming Tombs, and is close to the Ming Koo Kung subway station which provides easy access to many sights in Nanjing. There is even a street food bazaar right next door! The only downside of this hotel is that it does not offer a free laundry room.

The room was excellent, and I was very satisfied with the service. The hotel is conveniently located very close to Nanjing University of Science and Technology, with Zhongshan Scenic Area right at its doorstep. This makes it an ideal place to stay for both business travelers and families.

The pool and gym are an outside company fitness center that guest can use. No respect for lane swimming - although plenty of room parents and kids, they blocked the outside lane where 4 swimmers were doing laps. The gym was packed and unavailable to use. I was looking forward to doing a few laps and relaxing and my partner was looking forward to the gym. The main reason we booked this hotel. The coffee was disgusting!!! Even through it was an expresso machine??? Maybe unfiltered water was used - had a terrible taste

Let me start with the advantages: Environment: It is very close to the Ming Palace and Nanjing Museum, just a few minutes' walk away. There are residential areas and universities nearby, and the south-facing room we stayed in was very quiet. Hygiene: The hotel hygiene is OK, at least I didn't find anything that shouldn't be there; the bathroom supplies cannot be opened, so it's quite safe. Some comments: Facilities: The hotel's facilities other than air conditioning are OK. The air conditioning is central air conditioning, and you can only turn on the heating when the temperature is over 10 degrees. In other words, the adjustment panel in the room is useless, it can only be turned on and off, and the hot and cold air is completely determined by the hotel. The front desk didn't inform me when I checked in, so it was hard to sleep well at night. I still open the window and the curtains at the back to catch up on sleep during the day. Service: When checking in, they kept pushing the card. I don't know if it was because of the card opening KPI, so they didn't give any late check-out and breakfast. They also asked me to report my mobile number three times, which was really troublesome.

Travelled as a family of 9. Room was very comfortable so it was perfect after a long day out exploring Nanjing. Staff were all very helpful and flexible with our requests in our reservation. Breakfast was great.  We were allowed to play boardgames (we brought it with us) in common lounge area.   We will definitely return if we visit again. Highly recommended.

The service provided by Xiao Liu at the front desk was very good. He gave me handmade cookies, which was completely amazing. The overall environment is very nice, and there are gifts. Wow, it's really thoughtful and very interesting. It's very suitable for experiencing it with your partner. It unlocks new stores. I will come back next time when I have time. Every time I go to Nanjing for a meeting, I stay at Guyu Lanting. The hotel is located near the Nanjing Museum. Although it is not a new hotel, it is warm and comfortable. The room is very standard, with large windows and good ventilation, but it is very quiet and has all the facilities. It is very clean, especially the bedding is clean and comfortable. The service staff are very polite and kind, and the front desk also upgraded my room. It is convenient to go shopping around, and there are many delicious foods in Nanjing. It is a hotel with a relatively high cost performance among the surrounding hotels!

Hotel spot clean and service good. Only set back as follow 1. Booking through Trip.com needs credit payment in advance as usual.  2. During check need to pay in advance towards the hotel. Later Trip.com will reimburse back my credit card bank. Which makes in convenience for me, my credit card bank and trip.com.  3. Hotel does not trust customer like us. Where we need to place RMB 200 holding during stay. I don’t understand why they need RMB 200 holding during stay. What happens customer forget to collect their RMB 200. Will the hotel send back to customer if deposit was paid in cash.  That is my setback. This was our first time where hotel neeeeeds to collect payment directly from customer. My God Oh.  Warmth regards

Facilities: The facilities are quite comprehensive, and the location is very convenient for getting around. Service: The front desk offers luggage storage and even provided welcome fruit. Environment: The place was clean and hygienic. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place, especially since it's reasonably priced. As for food in Nanjing, there's a lot to choose from, but I strongly advise against eating near the Confucius Temple (Fuzimiao) area. It's overpriced and frankly, the food isn't good. Trust me, I've already made that mistake for you!
