Spa was beautiful, very comfortable to sit in and beautiful views from balcony, king size bed was one of the most comfy beds I’ve slept in, water flowing nicely in shower and chalet so warm with fire and reverse cycle air conditioning/heating. However, I was disappointed at the lack of cleanliness. Flies on the windowsill, plates in the cupboard not washed properly. A mismatch of plates and serving bowls, no coffee (instant packets) when we arrived at night and lack of directions to use TV which was sorted out for us the next day and promptly too. I found an essential oil diffuser gathering dust on top of the fridge which I gave pride of place on the bench as it had a lovely mood light. Office lamps on the bedside tables? No cushions on the sofas. Faded outdated pictures on the walls. Blowen globe in the lights. Nowhere to hang tea towels. No face cloth, or hand towels. Attention to detail was sadly lacking and at the price I paid I expected a lot more. Very simple and inexpensive to put a little thought into what would make the chalet homely and add a few creature comforts. I’m not sure if the covid19 drama meant money was short or staff had been let go but the standard seen in past reviews was not as good as what has described. Extremely difficult finding the place and signs to the chalet are not easy to see in the dark as the placement of the signs don’t face towards the road but off to the side. We were given explicit directions by email before we left and should have followed them, but didn’t! However, the sign at the bridge was still unable to be seen in the dark. My advice would be don’t arrive at night as roads are steep and muddy and visibility is dangerous at night.
