酒店是日式傳統溫泉旅館。雖然有些小陳舊，但職員服務非常之細心及有禮。有免費有蓋停車場，車位充足！由於位置比較偏僻，只適合自駕遊！溫泉是天然溫泉，好評！由於酒店房間不是太多，所以入住人數亦不多，沒有擠迫的感覺！入住最緊要預訂早餐及晚餐，因為附近沒有食肆！這旅館的食物美味，職員服務也好！如自駕遊由金沢至白川鄉，旅館去白川鄉約駕車一小時多！這間溫泉酒店值得推薦！

施設は豪華なたたずまいで、よかったけど、男の中居さんが無愛想で、話しかけても、いやな感じがした。連れが、怖がってた。2度めは無いと思う。やっぱり和やかに話しが出来る中居さんがいちばん。料理も少ないし。ただお風呂はよかった。あと男子浴場の体重計の電池ぎれ。細部に気をきばってほしい。最後に氷代がかかる旅館ははじめて。普通はサービスやろ。なので、北原荘はもういかない。いい思い出にならなかった。

新湊で 開催のイベントに際し妻と宿しました。立地や井波彫りをアレンジした設備は良く、露天風呂の温泉もとても良かったですし、女将の対応の親切でした。料理もとてもおいしくいただけました。惜しむらくは、部屋の冷蔵庫に前客の残留物が有ったことと従業員の接客が部屋で立ったまま「ボソボソ」と話をしたり、客の話を全く聞かない等全くホスピタリティのかけらの無い態度です。本当にモッタイナイお宿でした。
