A lovely little stay near the train station. It’s a sleepy town with a nice water fall a short walk away. The views were idyllic, facing the hills of tea. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, much needed after the long train ride from Kandy. The host was super accommodating, definitely recommend the home made breakfast - especially because there’s no eateries around. The host messaged me in the evening, concerned about my whereabouts and even provided pick up. Thank you!
Only thing for me was the locks/latches were a little fidgety. Other than that, it’s great value.

Such a convenient location! Though I used google to get directions from the train station, which made it seem less convenient than it was... tip: when you walk out of the train station, either take the stairs on the left or follow the road until it meets the main road, and turn LEFT (google will take you right). You’ll see the post office on the right, and just passed that, there is a staircase that takes you straight to Yoho. So much easier! Stayed in the room with a private bathroom- was quite small, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom did the job (water pressure wasn’t great), and the view from the balcony was fantastic! Say YES! When they ask if you want to eat lunch/dinner with them. The owner’s wife is an incredible cook! Some of the absolute best Sri Lankan food we had on our trip The owner was extremely helpful when it came to planning our time in the area. He set us up with one of his drivers, who took us to Damro Tea Factory, waterfalls, strawberry farm, and again for Horton Plains the next morning. Our driver was so friendly, informative, and really made our time enjoyable. Highly Recommend!

Was an excellent room for the price, clean, hot water ,tea, and arranged drivers to world's end and the tea fields. Nice family sent sandwiches with me for the hike and let me keep the room so I could shower and get changed before catching the 12:37 train to Ella.

It was great value for money. It is just a five minute walk from the train station. Very beautiful view and a great location. The manager was very courteous and listened to all our problems and guided us to the best.

We didn't expect much for £9 a night, but we ended up having the whole hotel to ourselves. The owner was fantastic and helped us with any question and also brought us a fantastic breakfast. Nanu Oya doesn't really get any tourists so expect a bit of 'local' life as you bump into tea pickers walking to and from work outside the hotel. Please can the owner contact me or post a reply with Asok's number as I think I got the incorrect one and tried to message him whilst we were in Sri Lanka.
