I had a beautiful stay in Mutara. The place is so serene, quiet and clean. Food was so good. The camp is sorrounded by nature. The staff were so professional. The communication and coordination between the staff and security is top notch. The room service is the fastest I have ever experienced in any hotel. I would recommend this place to anyone even small children ❤️

Jambo Mutara is a lovely camp at a wonderful location with great views down to the watering hole below where you can't fail to watch a variety of animals passing by for a drink. Talking of views, the infinity pool deserves a special mention. The staff were really friendly and made our stay memorable and enjoyable. In terms of game drives, there was plenty to see both at Mutara itself and across the road at Ol Pejeta. My one suggestion would be that soft drinks, house wine and laundry should be included as part of the package, given the lodge's rates, rather than having to be paid for separately. Going for a sundowner drive then being handed a bill afterwards is a bit off-putting. Just include it in the rates! There is also some room for improvement regarding the menu.

We spent two nights at Jambo Mutara. The staff anticipated our every wish and fulfilled them all without exception. Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. The security team ensured our safety throughout the night. The chef truly knew his craft and served us unbelievably good food. The view of the waterhole was excellent, both from the tent as well as from the lounge and the restaurant.

Beautiful tents, super friendly staff, very quiet, comfy beds, nice shower, gorgeous pool area and a great place to go when you want to be off grid.

Mutara was our first stop and although we only had 2 nights, it was a memorable time! The tents are spacious and well appointed, game drives were exciting with variety of animals, food was fresh and nourishing, and the people: wonderful! (The highlight). An unforgettable stay. Jambo Mutara was simply amazing! From the moment we arrived, every single person we interacted with was incredibly warm. Alex, Moses, Josephine, Dorcas, Christine, Njenga, and our lovely night guide John, please know I appreciate you all so much. We visited during the wet season, and that made the experience even more magical. The bush walk through the muddy pools was such fun, and the game drives were unforgettable! We even spotted some lions! Every visit to the dining area was a treat, we were truly spoiled. The food was gooood. Kudos to the chefs. The views were breathtaking; whether dining or relaxing in our room, we always had a perfect view of the watering hole. And the bush breakfast? Please, don’t miss it! It was such a special highlight of our trip. Thank you, Jambo Mutara! My partner and I met the most amazing people and created memories we’ll cherish forever. We can’t wait to be back! If you’re reading this, take it as your sign to book that stay at Jambo Mutara. It’s peaceful and warm, a true gem in the wild. Excellent service, friendly staff and the menu is simply superb. The safari walk is so refreshing and so is the scenery across the dining area and the rooms forming an arc with balconies facing the water hole. Its a sight to behold as the wild animals come for a drink and a wallow (we saw elephants and buffalo during our stay). The game drives which take place across the road in the Olpejeta conservancy is thrilling...Rhino, buffalo, lions, jackals, hyena, giraffe and elephants are a must see. I'd recommend a visit to Mutara camp anytime.
