Tenuta Duca Marigliano Boutique Hotel

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, but what makes this place special are the lovely gardens and the stellar service. The hotel ( a restored ducal palace) is surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens with plenty of spaces to sit, relax and enjoy the calm. You can get drinks served out in the gardens and they come with the very best bar snacks I have ever experienced. The service was top notch from the moment we checked, both at reception, and in the bar and restaurant. The hotel is located just 10 minutes walk from the entrance to the ruins and close to numerous restaurants, though you should definitely book dinner in the hotel restaurant at least one night of your stay. The restaurant is superb. We genuinely fell in love with this beautiful hotel and will return without a doubt.

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel! Our group had 3 rooms, all were different, but just as nice. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful, friendly staff, free parking, walkable to many restaurants, good WiFi, and the Greek ruins are a brief walk around the corner. We were bummed the onsite restaurant was closed when we were there because I've read it's quite tasty and has great reviews. Breakfast was served in a pretty cellar that looked like a cave, and had a nice outdoor patio as well. They have complimentary bikes guests can use, and while we didn't use the pool, it looked nice. The property is large enough to enjoy a nice stroll or sit and relax in the chairs on the lawn. My group was driving from Rome to Sicily and happened to stumble upon this hotel during our planning. We had never heard of Paestum before, but when we saw this hotel was near ruins, we knew we had to try it AND see the ruins. I'm so glad we did because we all loved staying here, and it was our favorite place that we stayed during our entire trip. Highly recommend and hope to return again!

A truly magical hotel very close to the incredible site of Paestum. It's beautiful, elegant, romantic, very clean. We'd stay again in a heart beat. The staff were all professional & friendly. The dinner in the restaurant was one of the best I've ever eaten. I let them know in advance that I was vegan & the quality of what they prepared was 5*. The garden is beautiful, plenty of space to sit & enjoy the peace & quiet. Lovely views from the room. Literally 5mins walk to the site. Also very close to the long sandy beaches for summer months. A very special place with an interesting history. We'll be back with great pleasure.

Very nice small boutique hotel perfectly located within easy walking distance of 4 or five very nice restaurants and a few hundred yards beyond that the temples. It's also only a 10 minute drive to some of the nice beach clubs where you can rent lounge chairs, have lunch and enjoy great swimming. The hotel and rooms are nice but the real highlight here is the amazing kitchen. Since we arrived on a Monday when the kitchen was closed, we walked to town and had lunch (as well as dinner) at Alice, which I highly recommend. The next morning we came down to the courtyard for breakfast and the host explained the buffet to us with lots of pride. How the bread is homemade, as are the pastries, jams, cheeses, yogurt, etc. It was incredible. Based on our breakfast experience and previous reviews about the restaurant, we made a dinner reservation for our final evening. Our server recommended the tasting meal and it was one of the best dinners we have ever had anywhere! The cooking was elevated farm-to-table style and focused on the best local produce and seafood. If you're staying here and you appreciate great cooking then you have to experience this. There is a hospitality school in Paestum and clearly many alumni are employed in the area. Service everywhere we went was very friendly and knowledgeable about food and wine and contributed to our great experience in Paestum. (The hotel, Alice and Spiaggia Rosemarina)

The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious . However the hotel did not provide the level of service expected by a 4 star and specially at this price point which explains my rating . You have to carry your suitcase yourself up the stairs if you’re on the second floor , you have to pay to rent pool towels and when it’s poring rain you can buy an umbrella but there is no complementary umbrella you can borrow like in all good hotels . It’s well located in Paestum and I would definitely recommend it if they raise the service level to match their rating, the beautiful setting and the price.

Can't say enough about this place- The staff were extremely helpful and entertaining . the food was exceptional and the atmosphere was delightful- Walking distance to ruins and museum. Just an overall gem of a place- don't miss if you are in Southern Italy.

This hotel's grounds are lovely. Every piece of furniture and lighting exhibits tasteful and interesting design.

We only stayed one night here 8th of June 2022, but we had a wonderful experience. I found the hotel short notice while on the road and I loved the reviews. The environment is beautiful, the hotel is super clean and well maintained. The staff is nothing short of amazing. They are very professional but also very friendly and made us feel so welcome especially at dinner (which was so, so good) and breakfast time. It was my birthday and they even got me a tiny candle to blow which was wonderful for my 2 year old who loves celebrating birthdays. One of the guests had locked or removed a key from the main door and we couldn't get in but it was resolved super fast and we all had a good laugh about it, well except the guest who had to come open and she stomped off angry in such a childish manner it was hilarious!
