Suites Nauders by Mein Almhof Superior

Pro: The location is excellent, the village is in a valley with beautiful mountains around, a very good base to explore the tyroler alps. The rooms were super, big (actually it could host twice as much people), comfortable and well equipped. We only missed the dishwasher-tablette, we had to buy a box for the few days we spent there, but it's okay, we took the rest home. The pool on the roof was always closed when we checked, but we did not really mind, since we preferred the wellness section in the main building anyway, it's much bigger and offers more facilities, like whirlpool, several saunas and pool for the kids. The breakfast was also served in the main building, so we started every day with a 10 minutes walk. The selection was huge, everyone could easily find something including the kids, and even me, doing a keto diet at the moment. We specially liked the fresh maked omlettes, that were freshly prepared in front of you, according to your taste. The Hungarian team (yes 80% of the team are Hungarian) is doing a great job, and I especially liked our morning chats with János, who is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional at the same time, he gave us good advices about where to go and what to do, and also which meats should I try. Cons: Telling the truth it's really hard to find something that we did not like, I was generally very satisfied. I can only mention the temperature of the pools, all of them could be around 2 degrees warmer. Since it was cold outside, we only checked out the sky pool for 5 minutes, took the panorama-photos, then since the water was not comfortable we went back downstairs to the inside pools. Same goes for the whirlpool which was only comfortable temperature as long as it was working, then as soon as it turned off itself it felt cold.

We came to Suites Almhof for the second time and will definitely go again next year. It is a wonderful place, the appartment is large, luxurious and clean. It's close to the busstop, whith a 5 minute busride to the ski-area. The staff are very friendly and will do everything to make your stay comfortable. We enjoyed a new yearsconcert at noon on the 1st of January in the center of Nauders!

When we made a decission to take a relaxing short wellness-holiday before the busy x-mas time we went for this hotel as it showed 2 saunas on the rooftop and an adult only section. On the first day they only warmed up one of the 2 saunas and it was the cold one at about 50 degrees celsius. On the second day, both were out of function. So there was no sauna at all for the whole day and our whole stay. There was a steam-bath ( Hamam ), after sitting there for 5 minutes some guests with 8 kids came in to the wellness-area, all of them with textiles on, mobile phones ringing and it was like a birthday party for 7 year olds which I have nothing against at all, but this was supposted to be an adults only, no mobile phones allowed, textile free relaxing oasis right? It was totally crazy and we left of course, the noise was still very loud even in our room. It's super dirty and unhygienic to wear textiles in a sauna or hamam, and even worse as they came straight out of the chlorine water into the hamam/sauna. There's not a lot more unhygienic then this. We told them about the ringing mobiles, the noise aso, they didn't care and were super unfriendly. The director of the house didn't showed any interest in this topic. They just think, hey, we're in the alps, we don't need to be nice and welcoming, there will always be plenty of guests. What a statement of pure arrogance...

We spent a lovely moment in this hotel. Everything was perfect. People who worked there are so kind. Breakfast is just so good (special mention to the omelette guy, the best I ever tasted). The room is really nice, exactly like on the photos. All is made in really good quality material. And the last but not least, the pool is amazing. Perfect temperature and a fabulous view on the mountain. Thank you for all. See you next time !
