Villa shade is the perfect place to start or end your vacation in Sri Lanka. Nice clean rooms, a perfect pool. Delicious food and exceptional friendly people. We had time to relax in the pool and afterwards they helped os plan a city tour in Tuk Tuk :)

villa shade is located close to the airport and is perfect place to stay and adjust from long flight and jetlag for couple of days. Property is very tranqile, surounded with beutiful garden, native plants..very relaxing and with emphasis on sustainability that was not seen in other places we stayed on our 2 week trip. Host and staff werevery welcoming and available to help in any way wee needed, from aranging transportation to providing advise on site seeing. Food was fresh, tasty and local. Swimming pool was such a nice addition to the whole experience. Villa Shade provided best accomodation during our entire trip and is highly recommened as place to stay at the begining or end of the trip as it is such peacefull oasis close to the airport

Extremely happy with the overall experience. Very nice place. Rooms were clean and spacious. owner Shiaraj and the Staff Were very friendly and helpful. Food was so yummy.will definitely revisit. Highly recommend this property to anyone.

This villa is a true green oasis in the middle of a busy city of Negombo. We stayed there for two nights after we finished our Sri Lankan trip and though we initially planned to spend one whole day sightseeing, we ended up just lounging on the villa’s premises playing basketball and badminton with the kids and enjoying everything the property has to offer (tree house, garden, pool). The owner was really nice, preparing a wonderful home made breakfast in the garden, driving us to the restaurant in the evening and organizing the tuk-tuk drive back to the villa. Throughout our whole stay everyone made sure we were taken care of and enjoy our stay and the owner and his whole staff surely delivered.

The air conditioned rooms were clean and spacious. There is a basket ball & batminton court to kill your time. The swimming pool was great too. The staff were kind and attentive, Overall it was a day well spent

We stayed at Villa Shade for one night to break our journey from the north back to the south. Very well maintained property with pool and nice relaxing gardens. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast tasty. The owner was very helpful in arranging local tuk tuks for us, the villa is in a quiet residential area so maybe a little far for walking to the beach but this is not a problem as tuk tuks are very well priced. We were only in Negombo for a short time and wanted to see the town before we left, as our request was very short notice, the owner lent us his manager and own car so that we could do a quick tour round the town, very kind of him. Would highly recommend Villa Shade to stay.

Had a very pleasant stay. Staff were attentive and very helpful. Beautiful garden surrounding the villa and very clean rooms! Thank you. Had a good time staying. Staff are all lovely and very nice environment. Nice room and spacious bed. We will be back again.

We have stayed at Villa Shade twice on our Sri Lanka trip. The first and last night. It’s very close to the airport and is a great alternative to staying in Colombo or hitting the road straight away. If we had more time we would have liked to stay longer. The place is beautiful, feels very homely and the staff is great. They have a beautiful garden where they also grow organic veggies that they serve for dinner. I strongly recommend eating there for dinner (and breakfast which is included) to taste the local food with the freshest produce.
