Apartamentos Mediterraneo

This is our second stay. We always book a one bedroom apartment so we get a balcony. On booking it does say studios do not have a balcony. These apartments are very basic but clean. Bathroom lovely. Bedding spotless also towels. There are no maids To make your bed, or clean up after you. ( I prefer to do my own anyway ) You need to buy your own toilet roll after the first roll provided from supermarket next door. One euro for a four pack !!! Not a big deal. And you empty your own bin. Bin is outside front of hotel. We had kettle, toaster, microwave and all cutlery and utensils. We are not in the room much so it’s perfect for us. Across road is a beautiful Italian and a curry house. 2 supermarkets and plenty of restaurants and bars. 2 min walk to beach down the coloured steps. 5/10 min walk to balcon. If you want 5 star don’t come here. But we love the location and area We sat in a bar across from Rui hotel and A lot of the guests there come over to these bars for drinks and food.

Totally awful place to stay worst holiday of my life paid for a studio but up graded at a extra cost of £67.00 ,arrived to find no one on reception even though they knew my arrival time , was given a key to room by a Handy man was given a studio with no balcony even though I up graded the staff either don't speak english or Can not be bothered asked for a toilet roll was told to come back next day , no room cleaning in 6 days no where to sit outside booked in to another apartment last night to get away from here good job I am going home tommorrow booked through love holidays. Com and they will be getting an email from me and asked why I was.not up graded all apt with balconys which have been empty all week I will also be persuing the return of my £67.00 I paid for an upgrade

Roomy and comfortable, cute balcony and kitchen, with towels , clean and tidy, a small clean pool available during certain hours, very near the beach and restaurants, yet a quiet ,safe space, with nightlife and views within walking distance and friendly staff. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

I read a few reviews while waiting for book in time. Pool too shallow. (1.7m?) Dirty. Noisy. No soap. No washing up liquid, toilet rolls and even no towels. A) it’s not a hotel it’s apartment to rent. B) towels and toilet paper have always been there. We stay here whenever we can get in on our visits to Nerja and have always been happy with the level of service and state of the apartment. Wake up people it’s a budget option and we have stayed here for as little as 25€ for two people overnight. The Pizza Resteraunt is also good I always try here first when visiting Nerja. Thank you to the staff.

Lovely litlle apart hotel with pool in nice quiet location and beautiful location in Costa del sol enjoyed the beccon de Europe and all that nerja had to offer the land train was great value to the caves

Mrs booked a 4 night stay on love holidays £350 for 2 people didn't expect much but what we got we were very pleased with ideally situated right by the beach apartments are basic but clean staff were all very friendly we will definitely be back belkon de Europe is a must, restraunts and bars all fantastic

Second year we have stayed here. Upgraded to a studio with balcony this yeat as we found the regular studio a bit claustrophobic. The balcony certainly improves things. You are at the back of the building so can see the mountains and watch the swifts in the evening. Three chairs and a small table and gets a bit of sun morning and evening. Room was spotlessly clean. For our 10 day stay, we got towels changed twice and a thorough cleaning one of those days. Room is small with 2 single beds, a decent sized wardrobe a table and three chairs and a couch which I assume turns into a bed as room can accommodate 3 people. There is a small hob and a few presses. The kitchenette is tiny and the fridge and microwave are around the corner. It is hit and miss what cutlery and cookware you get - there was a toaster but we had to ask for a kettle. We had 3 very small glasses and 2 mugs. Bathroom is compact but was very clean. The location os excellent. Close to everything unless you want to be at Burriana beach which is a decent walk. Now the problems. Had seen previous reviews mentioning a sewage-y smell but had not experienced it before. In this room the smell was very strong in the bathroom and got worse after a rainy day. You had to keep the door closed or it would spread into the room. Possible that it is only at the rear of the building as we were at the front last year and did not notice it. Hob was tempremental to say the least so I would not plan on cooking much. Shower was just OK. Pressure weak and curtain not long enough so easy to flood the floor if you are not careful Staff were friendly and helpful when we needed them. I would stay again but might take the 1 bedroom apartment next time as it has a bit more room, a bigger balcony and is at the front of the building. We didn't use the pool which is small and weirdly located at the front of the building. For the price and location it is a good choice but don't expect any luxury. Upgrade to apartment or studio with balcony if you can.

Second time me and my wife Jeanie have stayed at the Mediterraneo Apartments ,and again enjoyed every minute of our stay . All the staff here are extremely friendly pleasant and helpfull . The place is kept spotlessly clean and the studio had everything you could need.They are in the perfect location a short walk from the beach also bars resaurants and the balcon . this place is great value for money and we will certanly return next year.Neil & Jeanie.

if you can afford it stay somewhere else or at least book room with balcony - maybe they are of a better standard. I will start with positives, well its only one : its close to the beach . Hotel's pool is a pond which you cant access without a key, you need to obtain it from reception but there is no one ever at reception. ''Pool'' has no area for loungers. We stayed for a week and housekeeper only came once to change towels , and left our room unlocked ... Rooms are extremely outdated and run down , our self catering 'apartment' (really tiny , sort of prison cell vibe) had new bathroom so thats a positive thing. I would not book it again and the reason is if it was hot we wouldnt be able to use air con as it looked as it was 50 years old and mould smell came out of it, also no balcony and our view was into the ... staircase . Extremely uncomfortable beds and especially pillows. If you planning to stay here bring your toiletries including toilet paper with you . Kitchen has kettle, microwave, hob, fridge and few pieces for cooking etc and a tea towel.
