The hotel itself was good for kids and generally clean most of the tourists there were eastern Europeans which was not such a big deal but you get the rudeness and ignorance as well , the staff were misserable and looked like they didn't want to be there ,the towel lady looked like she hated her life and everyone else , the waterpark is good for the kids but lifeguards are either on there phone and again misserable, the beach was pretty crap ! the food is average nothing special at all , around the hotel there is nothing to do but the old town and sunny beach is a 10 min taxi driver away ....... Overall would never stay in this hotel again more 3 star than 4

The worst holiday of our lives! This holiday was ment to make memories and instead we had sickness and diarrhoea. The food was inedible… Just disgusting! Raw chicken, Children taking bites out of food and putting it back! Was just awful Drinks watered down, The pools are disgusting, muck floating on top of pool, there’s a constant smell of poo when sat around the mare pool. Staff so rude! We never had our room cleaned in the week we was there. The bathrooms stank of gone of maggots every morning The rooms are so old, basic nothing at all no cups no spoons no nothing! I would not go back to this place if someone offered me it as a free holiday Avoid at all costs and spend your money in somewhere else!

We have been to the hotel (section Mare; double room with two extra beds and sea view) for the second summer season in a row and we plan to go here again next year. The hotel is ideal for families with children; it has many attractions that will keep children entertained. Accommodation and meals (all-inclusive in several restaurants and stands including ice cream, be sure to try them all) are appropriate for the price and are completely sufficient for a normal family vacation. The beach is just right near the hotel, during our stay it was clean, as was the sea (a little seaweed here and there), and the entrance to the sea is suitable for children (a lifeguard is present). The staff is very helpful in most cases. The animators have interesting entertainment for all age groups. Families with children will certainly appreciate that every day around 11 p.m. the entire hotel complex (there are three interconnected hotels - Bay, Palace and Mare) goes quiet and there is no loud music production, etc. It is great to be able to get filtered drinking water from the machine on each floor (24/7). The only minor negative is that, unlike last season, the midnight snack served last year in the form of great sandwiches between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM in the lobby bar was canceled this year - we couldn't find an adequate replacement and we don't know why these sandwiches were canceled (?) - but otherwise there was still more than enough very good food and drinks at the hotel.

We’ve just returned from a week at Sol Nessebar Mare. Before we left, we read quite a few reviews that made us a bit worried—but now that we've been, I think some of those complaints were exaggerated or from people with a bit of an axe to grind. So I wanted to leave an honest and balanced review. Here goes… The resort is made up of three hotels, which is great because there’s lots to see and do. We booked through Jet2 and stayed in the Mare. If you're with TUI, you’ll be in the Bay, and then there's the Palace, which is five-star and I’m guessing more expensive. I can’t speak to TUI’s descriptions, but when we booked through Jet2, it was made to seem like we would have access to the full resort, including all three hotels. This is not the case. Each hotel has its own buffet restaurant and pool, which are only open to guests of that specific hotel. However, the water park and slides are available to everyone. The queues for the slides were never particularly long, which was great. That said, I did witness some inappropriate behavior from the lifeguards at the top of the slides. One slapped a boy on the behind, seemingly to make it seem acceptable to then do the same to a young girl (who looked to be in her early teens). If you're traveling with young girls, I would recommend accompanying them up to the slides. The buffet food was always good, with plenty of variety. We had two nights in the specialty restaurants, which you have to pre-book—do this as soon as you can. We went to the Italian, which was brilliant (the carbonara was great), and the Japanese hot pot, which we didn’t enjoy. We ended up going back down to the buffet. Maybe it just wasn’t for us, but it wasn’t the nicest. The Palace also has access to sun loungers on the beach, which guests of the Bay and Mare cannot use. However, there’s a sort of sandy veranda area just above the beach that Mare and Bay guests can use. We sat there and were perfectly happy. There’s also an inflatable obstacle course on the sea for kids. If you’re visiting with children, there’s a lot for them to do. The water park has big slides for older kids and adults, medium slides (yellow and rainbow) for younger ones, and a splash pool with smaller slides and fountains for toddlers. Our 3-year-old enjoyed both the medium and little slides. There are also bouncy castles, soft play, several playgrounds, ride-on toys, arcade games, bowling, and archery. Some of these do cost extra, but typically only a few lev. There’s also a kids club, but we didn’t use it so can’t comment. The kids’ evening entertainment is the same each night—we thought it could start a little earlier (maybe 8:00 instead of 8:30), but our little one enjoyed it when he had the energy to stay up. We didn’t see the adult entertainment as we had to get our little one to bed, but we could hear it from our balcony and it sounded pretty lively—the crowd seemed to be enjoying it. Our room was a little old-fashioned but comfortable enough. We had

Currently staying at the hotel and have been extremely disappointed by the lack of rule enforcement by the hotel staff. Signs clearly displayed stating sunbeds not occupied will be stripped of towels etc yet 50% of sunbeds are being reserved from 08:00 onwards with no one on them until gone 12:00, Smoking and vaping is a common occurrence poolside so be prepared to breath in the secondhand smoke of others which is disgusting especially if you’re eating. Hotel stay being ruined by a selfish few and hotel staff seemingly not caring.
