We booked five rooms for our family of ten, including an infant and two teenagers. The hotel, situated in a quaint little village only 15 minutes from Bayreuth and 20 minutes from Bamberg, was beautifully furnished with baroque furniture. However, our experience was marred by the unfriendly and rude hosts who were clearly displeased with our group. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome. The hosts were petty, inflexible, and far from warm. For instance, they were not happy that three of us checked in after 9 PM. Despite being well-traveled, we have never encountered such rude treatment from hosts. Although we were their only guests, they seemed utterly overwhelmed by our presence. We were accused of breaking a circuit and causing an electricity outage, and of being dishonest about it, which was bewildering. We were rudely told about the rules, prohibited from showing up 15 minutes early for breakfast, and not allowed to sit in the common area without ordering drinks. One reason we chose this hotel was the supposed availability of a nice restaurant on-site. However, upon arrival, we were informed that the restaurant would not open for us because the hosts, being only two people, could not cook for such a large group. Ultimately, we just wanted to leave after being yelled at several times for minor infractions, such as showing up too early for breakfast, not locking the door immediately after stepping through, asking for extra fruit at breakfast, or requesting anything extra. We regretfully cannot recommend this hotel. Despite its charming bed and breakfast style, the hosts made our stay unpleasant, and we will not be returning
