What kind of hotel is this? Bar is closed, restaurant is closed, only accessible for breakfast. After 7pm(!) you need to do your best to get back in the hotel, and in your room: go down an alley to the side of the hotel, climb some outside stairs, where there is one door open, that will take you down some stairs, through the indoor pool, down some stairs, and up some stairs to get you back in the lobby... ***... Why is there no one in the hotel to welcome you in the evening? The reception is supposedly open until 10pm. An old guy said yesterday "I am locking this door, and am going home!" - how can your slogan be "we love our guests since 1885", when you clearly do not? PS: do not be confused with the photo of the castle - that is NOT the hotel!

Hotel Grossfeld is conveniently located near Bad Bentheim castle and a 7 minutes walk from the railway station on a rather unattractive square. The room I had was fine, but slightly outdated, just what I expected from this smalltown hotel.

Great hotel in a great town. Excellent breakfast and staff. Staff spoke english. Parking is available off-site. Small elevator which is also a plus! Overall we were very pleased. The only negative was price. We just spent 2 weeks in Germany and this was our most-expensive hotel.

Zeer goed en schoon hotel. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt buffet. En nog lekker ook. Personeel spreekt ook nederlands, altijd handig. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Wat een heerlijk Hotel! Wij zijn op alle punten tevreden. Zeer fijne bedden, mooie grote kamer (neubau) aan het zwembadje. Met mooi bad en aparte douche. Het is rustig, geen lawaai of andere storende zaken. We zaten in het nieuwe bijgebouw en konden binnendoor naar het hoofdgebouw. Veel trappen, maar er zijn liften. Met rolstoel is mogelijk. Personeel is Duits en Nederlands sprekend. Midden in het centrum, kneuterig dorpje. Kasteel er tegenover. Eten en drinken prima! Zeer schoon. Savonds kun je prima een drankje doen. Ook mooi terras. In overige restaurant ook vriendelijk en normale prijzen.

Sehr schöne Stadt mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir waren schon 2 x da. Einmal im Hotel Grossfeld und 1 x privat war such sehr gut. pfehlen. Im Hotel Grossfeld gibt es tolles Frühstück und privat war es auch gut. Ein Tagesausflug nach Nordhorn, dem kleinen Venedig kann ich sehr empfehlen. Dort gibt es auch einen schönen grossen Tietpark.

Heerlijk hotel, buffet eten inbegrepen, zeer uitgebreid en elke avond andere gerechten. Allemaal erg smaakvol. Drankjes zijn niet duur buiten de happy hour. Mooie zwembaden en schone kamers. Veel luxe voor weinig geld. Lief personeel, erg vriendelijk.
