The Marriott Hotel on Canal St was such a convenient location for walking to the major tourist attractions…Bourbon Street, St. Louis Cathedral, the Ferries and paddlewheel boats. I enjoyed my stay and the hotel front desk and concierge service was so helpful to ensure that i knew how to get to my destinations. I would highly recommend this hotel.

There was a used soap bar in the shower when we arrived. The bed was extremely hard and the pillows were very soft, it was not comfortable. When we arrived the room was warm and the water was hot. Part of the way through our first shower the water got cold and the heater quit working. The next day it got COLD outside and there was absolutely no hot water, got out of a cold shower and the air was blowing very cold. They did send someone up to fix the issues and we had hot water that evening. When we woke up in the morning the room was 79 degrees though the heater was set at 70. It was very hot. The shower was cold again and there was brown water leaking through the ceiling tiles above the shower.
The location was convenient and the view of the river was really nice.

The hotel lobby is grand, but the room is older and slightly smaller than expected. Overall, the Marriott brand is a bit below expectations. The location is perfect, very close to the French quarter. If it's an event day, the soundproofing isn't perfect.

Amenities were not very complete.
No toothbrush etc.
Marriott in Japan has pajamas, but there was no service such as pajamas.
You have to bring your own things.
Only the location was great, so it was smooth to go anywhere. In that sense, I would like to stay again and recommend it.

There on business trip. Nice downtown location. At first stayed in a room that needs renovation. Discussed with manager and was moved to a much improved location. Not sure why but bathrooms are low ceiling, slightly over 6'. Best part was the staff at the M-Club. Kudos to Sandra and Manny and another two staff members and the morning chef which made the entire stay outstanding. I hope management appreciates their exceptional staff. Front desk manager jumps in to help when busy which is good leadership there. Fitness Center was small but had everything needed for a decent workout. Parking was expensive, $45/night, and the Hotel bar tab differed each night even though I bought the same drink. Brought that concern up to the Hotel Manager, So drink prices depends on each Bartender. Recommend to Watch and keep your receipts from the Hotel bar!!! Creole House Restaurant and Sazarac next door in a must visit. Highly recommend this Marriott Hotel.

Stayed centrally, in the Quarter Tower of the Marriott. Overlooked the pool from the 15th floor, with a view of the river. Overall, hotel was quiet. Some signs of rooms showing their age (towel rack coming off in the bathroom, out of place ceiling tiles). Overall, what you would expect, and with lower prices in the summer, was worth what we paid for it. Public spaces were well designed and executed.
