The Brakeman Hotel

Wonderful little hotel in a good location close to the main areas in the French quarter but far enough away that the area felt safe and quiet. Would definitely reccomend this place.

A great stay at the Brakeman Hotel. Staff super friendly and helpful. Gets a bit busy with the events venue on the 4th floor - but that’s not a negative, just an observation. Great location, would stay agin for sure.

Would stay here again. Not in the middle of the craziness but close enough to walk to it. Clean rooms, nice place.

We were in the Deluxe King room and had an insane view of the St. Louis cemetary next door. Beautiful, roomy room and comfortable bed. I loved being just on the border of the French Quarter so we could walk there within minutes without actually staying in it. If I am ever in New Orleans again, I would absolutely stay here again.

We were there for my nephew and his wife's rooftop wedding. The hotel was clean, the staff was super nice, and my husband loved the coffee.

Staff was very nice however, when I arrived no one was at the desk for a good 15 minutes so I just stood there waiting for someone. Then on another occasion, I went to the front for something, and again, no one was there. I looked outside and the front desk girl was on her cellphone. Very unprofessional . I also had an issue where the room next to mine had an alarm clock go off at 6 am. I could hear everything bc the walls are PAPER THIN. The alarm was going off for 30 min straight and I called the front desk. They went up and shut it off bc no one was in the room. They should make sure all alarms are shut off when a guest leaves.

The hotel itself. Being converted was great. It's not big, it's not small. Just big enough.

Yes and yes! As cold one nite and requested extra blanket - it was brought promptly. Shower door was hard to close. All else was great.
