The location is great, less than a 5-minute walk from the old street. The room was clean and bright, and there was plenty of hot water, though the toilet flush was a bit weak. The self check-in process was a breeze. The price is really affordable. This is a hidden gem you definitely shouldn't miss if you're visiting Jiufen!

Stayed at this homestay in Jiufen and had a pleasant experience. The place was clean, well-kept, and comfortable for a short stay. One of the biggest advantages is its location—it’s just a short walk to Jiufen Old Street, making it very convenient to explore the area, especially in the evening. Overall, a good choice if you’re looking for a simple, clean stay with easy access to the main attractions.

I'm not sure if I'm just bad at using QR code locks, but it took me about 20 minutes to get my door open in the middle of the night, which was really frustrating. Also, the toilet is outside the room, so I have to take my phone with me every time. That's a hassle.

We had 3 nights at Harmony in a room with no window, but it did not feel claustrophobic at all. We did have trouble finding it due google maps playing up and we ended up at the sister hotel further up the hill. Thankfully, one of the owners ran up the hill and met us to take us to the correct one Entry to the hotel is a pain when it pouring down with rain while trying to input your details for the QR code. But this was clearly detail in the listing descritption and previous reviews had mentioned this. A huge help would be to to put a larger sign identifying the hotels location. See photo with circle around the name…. Very easy to miss. During the stay, it was very quiet and extremely clean in possible the best location to old street. Literally 30 seconds away. Walk a little bit further and theres a 7-11 and family mart across the street. The wifi is w10/10 so very good for digital nomads. I highly recommend harmony and would definitely stay again.
