Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square

Conveniently located near subway station and have lots of restaurant nearby. Breakfast is okay. Room is clean but a bit small for 2. It was suppose to be a good trip that turned into a disaster on the early morning on the day that we were suppose to check out. My aunt was packing her luggage when the very heavy closet door suddenly fell down hitting her forehead and hand. I've immediately went down to reception to report it and see how they can help, but was told that they will have someone look at it after we've checked out. My aunt have to go down to the reception to show them her wounds before they have someone to come up and check on it. It was really very unprofessional for a Marriott group hotel to handle such incident this way. Their furniture were old, but it should at least be safe enough before letting guest check in. Fortunately this time my aunt just have slight injuries, we can't tell what will happened if that heavy door fell on a child. We hope the hotel will have regular checks performed on all their rooms.

This hotel is in the perfect location. It’s close enough to plenty of bars and restaurants without being too loud or busy. The room was small but as expected for a NY hotel. We were grateful for a good working a/c unit which we could adjust to warm or cool the room as we wanted. TV had Netflix (own login). Breakfast was good, only a few cooked options which could’ve been improved but fresh waffles was a nice highlight! Some breakfast times were super busy and there were queues but we personally avoided this by going early.

The hotel is in a really good location. Just near port authority bus and just one block from time square. The staff are really friendly from the first time you arrive to the very last day. The breakfast is good. Just enough for what we needed. The rooms are very clean with lots of space. Would definitely recommend to others and would return again .
