St Marks Hotel

The location is convinient yet noisy, depends on what is your preference. They accept cash only, so better be prepared beforehand. Room is cozy and a little bit tiny. I think give up on the price it is a good choice but if you are willing to pay a little bit more you will have better experience.

The rooms are clean, good service and nice staff. Daily house keeping. The location is walkable to a lot of restaurants,CVS, and subway. Its just what you need if you just need a place to sleep, shower after exploring the city. No elevator and no hair dryer. But will definitely stay here again, love the location for a cheap price compared to other hotels.

I liked how cheap it was. You get what you pay for, its definitely not the Hilton. The room and bathroom is small but it was kept up and got new sheets almost every day. The only complaint I have is the water pressure on the shower was so low. overall I would stay here again

Hotel is too small as per the rates they are charging and not a bottle of drinking water in room. All rooms are very shaky. If someone moves in other room the bed next rooms starts shaking. First night i couldn't sleep well thinking it must be ghost effects or something like that. Later i came to know that all rooms are shaky and my horror effect went off. Too small passage to walk and very steep narrow and dangerous steps. One need to be very carefully while walking on stairs. One mistake you mighty land up in hospital. Had an electric issues in room and later they shifted me to another room. Over all hotel charges are too high as per the property they are offering to guest. Pathetic rooms. Never mind fact is fact. My experience was really funny in this hotel.

I will not recommend this hotel for those who have heavy bags and luggage. And they only accept cash, they don’t have elevator. We feel very exhausted

It is a very old hotel , with no lift, an important issue to consider. Very clean , and friendly assistance . Grear location a block away from metro

I spent 3nights. I went to vacation to know the city and the neighborhood is walkable easy to take the subway, bus or any kind of transport to move you around the area. So is a simple hotel, with a regular room and simple bathroom. Toilet, sink and shower with utilities. It's a good option if you plan is spending time outside and just rest after the bunch of NYC things. A lot restaurants and cafeteria around. Clean and convince if is about money. Very recommended!!

St Mark's Hotel is a small boutique hotel in the heart of the East Village. The hotel could do with a lick of paint, but the room was spacious, clean and serviced daily. The hotel's staff were helpful when needed. The hotel is located about two blocks from two separate Subway lines and there are literally hundreds (yep that many) of bars and restaurants nearby catering for all food preferences that you might have. I will definitely stay here again on my next stay in New York

Just what I was looking for, to stay at a small historical hotel for just a simple stay experience without the unnecessary extras. In my eyes, not having an elevator is part of the charm for this little gem. Safe & quiet. The room and bathroom were clean with a flat screen TV & a space heater if needed. Soap, shampoo. Excellent central location in an awesome eclectic neighborhood. Food, entertainment, shopping and transportation were at my doorstep. Very kind and helpful staff for all my questions. I will be a repeat guest at this property next time I visit. No need for me to stay anywhere else. I felt at home and was very comfortable here.
