The Rockaway Hotel

Probably better to book directly with Hotel. State of emergency and no one could help with adjusting our day. It is a nice place, the service is great. However during checkout I noticed added charges, that I am waiting getting fixed.

A lovely hotel and nice to rooms, I did feel a bit let down though with some of their functions on at the time. A very noisy pool party and cocktail function which clearly was to accommodate a certain age range. It would of been nice to be aware of such functions before we actually turned up. I could see that most of the people staying at the hotel were of my similar age and weren't overly comfortable either with noisy, loud individuals dotted all over. This was especially concerning since guests have to sign a waiver to abide by noise rules etc....but it appeared none of these were followed for people associated with the event. Shame really as the hotel itself and location was great. Appreciation for all guests seemed a bit lacking.

Check in was simple, all staff were courteous and kind. I did not include a star because valet was not offered. We had to ask about the service and how it works.

Staff is friendly and attentive, and the room was clean and nice, my daughter loved the bunk bed. Only downside side was being blindsided by a $50 charge to my cc, which they explained to me was an amenities fee for the pool, sauna and bicycles (none of which I used).

Everything was nice and staff friendly. Very expensive for off season in November. Overall, paid $550. King size room was very tight at bedside and didn’t use any amenities.
