Embassy Suites by Hilton — I Absolutely Do Not Recommend It for Families
I've visited nearly 100 countries, and this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.
When we checked in at night, there was no concierge. At check-out, the concierge told us that, on the manager's orders, our luggage could only be kept in the storage room until 2:00 PM — unless we booked the airport transfer through the hotel for $107, in which case they'd hold it longer. It felt like being cornered into it. Our flight was at 20:00.
The room I had reserved as a junior suite , shown in the photos with a separate sofa bed for a child and a main bed — didn't have room to open even one suitcase, let alone three. They said they remove the seperation recently with apologization of not changing the photos on Internet. Worse still, the metal bars of the child's sofa bed dug into your back. I would never recommend this room to families with children.
We were staying on the 11th floor of a 39-story building, and since the elevators always arrived full, we were often forced to use the stairs. The breakfast staff were friendly and clearly well-meaning ; I'll give them that but we waited a long time to find a table, and the breakfast itself was quite mediocre.
In short, this hotel does not live up to the Embassy Suites by Hilton standard. Don't make the mistake we did, thinking you'd found a family suite here.
