It was fine at first despite no restuarant, and nthen on the last night of our stay because ur room.is so close to the front entrance the amount of people being noisey at midnight is a joke. Im.heavily pregnant and need sleep it would be quieter if i slept in my car!! The rooms are so hot i needed the window open which makes it even worse, no reapect for anybody, so i am.awake at 1am with a 4 hour drive to do in morning and i had to pay for this privelige. What a joke

Our double room was spacious, warm and comfortable. The bed although not big was comfortable. Close to town river and the castle. Good shower and bathroom area with lovely large towels. Plenty of parking. Coffee making facilities, No fridge.

Good base for visiting Newark. Generally good but basic no frills stay. Hot room, no air con. No restaurant services when we stayed. Very close walking distance to market Square so ideal for what we were attending for. Friendly staff at reception

Total shoddy and outdated hotel, no aircon in rooms no fan and a window that you can’t open so no ventilation in room Room furniture was total outdated stuff from the 70s and the bed was a cheap crap metal double bed that squeaked every time you moved an inch Cleanliness was not exactly on the list either with several big spiders and cobwebs that joined us for our over night stay Considering the room was £100 for a nights stay without breakfast it’s a score of zero from us which will match the hours we slept during the stay due to the heat in the room

Well I am on the road two to three nights a week and this hotel was not a good choice, Dark badly lit rooms it was very difficult to work past dark. I have stay elsewhere in Newark for £100 per night and it was different class. This place needs to invest money. Cheap furniture all bubbled up along with lamps that didn’t work. Not the cleanest 😠😠

Carpet is pulling up I could piss faster than the shower runs cudnt turn shower off. Rooms smell like old ppl mattresses must av had a million ppl sleep on them I slept on the floor it was more comfortable. Never ever in my life have I stayed anywhere so bad

Stayed 2 nights in newark on trent My family has a boat on the marina (we're not posh from hucknall)🙂We spent 2 nights at Mill House Hotel.Very nice staff,large clean rooms,very near to the market and river plus the castle. Just 2 minor thing's. Massive rooms but small double bed.A contant whirling sound all night from low floors.?

A second visit to this hotel (first one was pre-pandemic) but it is still a good place to stay. The room was large and clean. Parking and the location of the hotel is excellent. Shame that the restaurant is not yet functioning but there are plenty of good restaurants round about. (We went to the Beaumond Cross - very good) And an evening drink at the hotel under the fig tree was very pleasant!
