The White Hart Inn

We stayed here on our way to Southampton feom Staffordshire. The room was perfect with lovely crisp bedding, huge soft towels and a big comfortable room. We had an evening meal in the pub which was reasonably priced and delicious. We all had eggs benedict for breakfast which was perfectly cooked. The staff were so hard working and friendly. Overall we absolutely recommend this place and would love to stay again.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights and we had a lovely time. There was nothing to find fault with, the room was very comfortable and well equipped with teabags, coffee etc and bottled water. We arrived on May 1st a cold and wet afternoon where we were met by Stella the owner and Clint the manager. We had already booked for a Sunday roast so with a couple of real ales a roast dinner and a log fire - who can ask for more? The breakfast was unbelievable, so much choice. My husband who is doing Slimming World at the moment was trying to watch his weight, but with the help from the staff his cooked breakfast was cooked just as he liked it. We will definintely return as the inn is situated for visits to many places ie the canals and Highclere Castle. We would like to thank Shannon and Liv as well.

We would very much like to thank Stella, Clint and the team for our recent two night break at the White Hart Inn, a lovely country inn in a very peaceful location. They all made us feel very welcome and were extremely attentive to both us and our cocker spaniel, Louis, throughout our visit. Our room overlooking the garden was perfect for us, being very clean, spacious and comfortable and being in such a location, ideal for our dog too. On the path outside our room, a table and chairs allowed us to enjoy a drink in the late summer sunshine. Even though we ran out of time to take our dog on the longer walk that Stella recommended to us, starting only a few yards away from the inn, we did take him for a nice walk on the footpath opposite the inn leading to the fields. We enjoyed excellent "full English" breakfasts and evening meals which were delicious and very reasonably priced. Clint made sure that Louis, our spaniel, did not feel left out at breakfast time too providing him with his own cooked sausage! Hopefully we will visit again in the near future. We would highly recommend this inn and the excellent hospitality that awaits you. Overall, we would recommend this place to anyone and would love to stay again. Best wishes, Andrew, Rebecca and Louis.
