Beautiful historic looking hotel situated around the beautiful highlands of Scotland.. hospitality is fantastic the staff are always courteous and polite to visitors and catered to all needs. This is one of the first hotels which does laundry for travellers. Rooms are small and comfortable. Downside of the place is water, shower was not satisfactory very hard to have a proper shower, internet nope there is no internet in rooms only available in the public areas and bar.. otherwise this is a beautiful hotel to cut away from technology and hassling city life ..

We spent two nights at this lovely little hotel in the Cairngorms. The staff were delightful, and the food each day was excellent. The rooms are a little quirky; think of it more as a charming B&B rather than as a corporate hotel. We were central to everything in the Highlands and couldn't have asked for a nicer time. Supporting small, local business is important to us, and this place ticked all of the boxes.

What a treat to stay at this quaint but nice family run hotel. Our room was spacious & clean. The 2 breakfasts & 2 dinners we had were very good! Make sure you try a pint of their Belhaven Black on tap ! The views on either side of the hotel are breathtaking. The only negative was the water pressure of the shower of which we were told of in advance

We were on a tour. I was looking forward to staying at this location because I wanted to have beautiful surroundings. It did not disappoint. The scenery was stunning. A great place if you want to get away and enjoy some peace and serenity. Staff was hospitable. We stayed here 2 nights. The first night, dinner was amazing. The second night, was a huge disappointment. Don't order the venison. It was inedible. It was so tough, you couldn't cut it with a knife. The only other issue was the shower, but everyone else was talking about it in other reviews. Even though our bathroom was remodeled, the water pressure is really lacking. I expected this and it's an old hotel, so just come with that expectation and you're be fine.

While I personally did not stay at the Laggan Hotel, my friend and I stumbled upon it after a terrible accident tied up the north bound lane of the A9. Staff helped us get back on the road and to our hotel...but fed us first. Came back later for dinner which was excellent. Staff are definitely the best!

A well run and comfortable hotel, with polite, friendly and helpful staff, follow the manager’s lead. I arrived wet and bedraggled halfway through a cycle trip, and was provided with newspaper for my sodden shoes and a drying (boiler) room for wet clothes. Breakfast and dinner excellent.

Arrived at this hotel on Tuesday evening, after completing day 2 of our East Highland Way and were pleasantly surprised at the hotel. Our room was great and loads of space and the views from the windows were amazing to wake up to. The staff couldn’t have been any friendlier and they were working incredibly hard to tend for a coach group that were in. Hopefully return one day - Thank You!

Exceptionally clean, delicious meals, comfortable beds, with warm bed covers, comfortable seating with views throughout the building interior and numerous places for sitting, visiting and viewing outside as well. I had room number which was the largest room I’ve had on a 17 day bus tout and had 2 comfortable lounge chairs to use and I did. The manager Carly Lochkart is above and beyond in making your stay a pleasure. This establishment has a 2 star rating and may be lacking in a spa or pool, but it deserves a 5 star and has been many times superior to the 4 & 5 star Marriott’s we’ve stayed in on the trip. Thank you Carly for a wonderful stay.

I can't believe this hotel is only 2 star. The location is just stunning, surrounded by mountains. My room was perfect, spotlessly clean, large flat screen tv on the wall, fluffy towels and pristine bedding. The breakfast was brilliant with plenty of choice and in a large dining area where you could again take advantage of the stunning vista. The staff were friendly and chatty. Overall a great experience and I'll definitely return.
