Itoen Hotel New Sakura Reviews

This hotel was perfect for me from Yen value to ease in every sense and I am fussy with my comforts & expectations & budget. You will be happy at the Itoen Hotel with friendly English speakers at service desk, happy atmosphere, a great onsen & great dining. I would have booked for longer than one day in this very pleasant hotel & town had I known how much I enjoyed it. There is an absolutely wonderful nearby avenue of cherry blossom trees if you're here at the right time.... I was and it made my trip! Check out the steam train & suspension bridge too.

This property is very affordable and offers a lot for the price it demands. A 5mins walk to the Kinugawa Onsen station. The property is older but has all the amenities you need. There is an indoor onsen and a small outdoor one. Male and female sides don't change. You can also book a free session of private onsen. Breakfast and dinner are both buffets, nothing of high quality but there are a lot of selections to choose from. Best of all, the drinks, beers and spirits are complimentary too.

Good onsen hotel for family. The room is so big, quite old but very clean. A lot of facilities. Great dinner and breakfast.

Onsen is excellent . Hotel is valuable. Morning and Dinner is so plenty of food and delicious. But crowdy is limitation.

Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style. They offer fresh tuna and squid sushi, and during the New Year, traditional Japanese New Year dishes. It's quite good value for money. However, the buffet is limited to 1.5 hours and requires a reservation, so you need to check in early to book your preferred time. From what I've seen on Japanese TV programs, the buffet at Mikazuki, which is within a few hundred meters, seems better. But if you don't know that, the service here is overwhelmingly superior compared to other regions.

Chain hotel. We've stayed at Itoen hotels several times now. They're all onsen hotels, and the prices are very reasonable. There are fewer foreign tourists and more locals. The buffet quality is on par with the price, and I personally think it's quite good.

Room located far away from the onsen. Need to go through a pathway that exposes to rain.

The location is really good. 10 mins away from the station. Easy to find. Big hotel, about 11 floors. The room is quite spacious, part in western style with beds and part in japaneese with tatamis. There is sink in themiddle of the room, quite comfy. Good view to the mountain and forest from the window, 9th floor. Nice yukata to wear, i liked the outerpart. Breakfast and dinner is buffet, quite big choice, free beer for dinner, not so many fruits, no cakes for breakfast (dinner only). There is sushi and sashimi choice, delicious food. Onsen is quite good, clean, big. Will recommend to stay here

first of I would like to thanks always trip.com for very nice & convinient bookings everytime,we stay new sakura hotel,because the interior of the hotel is mostly sakura theme,the carpet,the gorgeous chandelier, the wall design,etc.or cherry blossom in Japan,& so very affordable prize,we spend only 18,000 yen for 2 adults,with 2 breakfast & 2 dinner.Very near from kinugawa onsen station,only 3 hrs.from Tokyo.We amazed the room,so very big for the two of us,for very cheap prize,can accomodate even 10 person,the buffet breakfast & dinner also is so good but the most I want to share is the drink all you can alcohol beverages for 1 hour,like beer,japanese wine,sours, all kinds of softhdrinks,I enjoyed for self service alcohol drink all you can!the hotspring also is very good but the cons is take care in the outdoor spring because of the concrete stairs,especially for the elderly when slippery,there's & a little bit far from our room,the young staff also at the counter is nice & most of them are young japanese lady,so very entertaining,so many free amusement like billiard,majong,etc.with a nice sorrounding sightseeng site.& last after check out they give 2000 yen discount coupon for the next visit,Thanks God & trip.com for a nice autumn tour moment in kinugawa onsen Tochigi Perfecture Japan

Lodging at this hotel is a good choice of a high cost or price performance ratio, apart from its location quite near to the eki or train station. Foods in the dinners or breakfasts are abundant; and happy to have beer and sake in the dinner. Room is large enough for three guests. Pity that there is no Wifi provided in the dining9 place; also there is no covered outdoor walkway connecting the main block and South Wing and guests would get wet on the way to the dining place or onsen, when it rains. Lack of ramps but many steps connecting places of different levels. Parking lots are not close to the assigned rooms.

The food was so cold it wasn't tasty. I was happy they had a wide variety of alcoholic and soft drinks, but the room wasn't clean. The bathroom with a toilet wasn't clean either; it felt old-fashioned, and the toilet bowl was freezing cold. The air conditioning didn't work properly, it was cold, and the room was too dry. I kept wetting towels to increase the humidity, but they dried out quickly. I won't be coming back.
