Room is much much better than I expected. I’m surprised by the bad reviews. Service will have been excellent if not for this particular counter staff who is very unhelpful and lazy to provide drive to their sister hotel for onsen. The other 2 more elderly staffs were so nice and friendly, unlike him. He should learn to be nice in service line, if not get out pls !

A cozy and spacious hotel in Nikko. A bit of a walk from the station when you have a lot of luggage. Staff did not speak English. The rooms were large and allowed for many extra beds if needed. The large windows allowed for great morning views of the mountains. The onsen is in a separate building but was nice to have. The lobby also has some sitting areas, a manga room, massage chairs and good vending machines.

An affordable hotel with its own small onsen. In the evenings, I always had it to myself, which was wonderful! The hotel might not be brand new, but the room was fully equipped with everything I needed – a kettle, a fridge, and a hairdryer. It's located a 15-minute walk from the station, which I didn't find inconvenient at all. I traveled to Nikko every day, using my all-area Free Pass, and the journey, with one transfer, took about 1 to 1.5 hours. For this price, only hostels were available in Nikko. But here, I got a proper hotel with spacious rooms.

The place felt rather subdued, despite being popular with young guests.

The location was quite good, although it is a bit far from the main U-Nikko Station. If you are looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay, I highly recommend it. However, keep in mind that the distance may increase your travel time, so you should plan for an extra hour in your itinerary.

The hotel's service was decent, though the facilities felt a bit dated. This is perhaps understandable, as the entire area isn't as bustling as it once was, and even the on-site restaurants were all closed. However, the price was still quite reasonable, and there are hot springs available for guests. The only minor inconvenience is having to walk out to the backyard in slippers to reach them.

Quite an old hotel, could do with some updating and a bit of extra care put into the decor, but it was decent value for money and the option to book a private onsen was excellent and reasonably priced. About a 15 minute walk from Kinugawaonsen Station.

I really liked the room: it was clean and tidy. It had everything I needed, right down to a luggage rack.

The location is really nice and the public onsen with the beautiful view are fantastic! However, the room was pretty outdated and a bit smelly and could have been cleaner. We booked the more expensive room with the bath where they show the private onsen picture, but unfortunately, the private onsen needs to be booked separately and they will charge us additionally 3100 yen for 50 min. So be aware to select the cheaper room since it's exactly the same as the more expensive room.

Very Japanese Hotel, draft beer service at front was nice. You can use the Onsen of the sister hotel as well. All in all recommended

Easily access with car. Room spacious, comfy futon. However the onsen place was outside of the main building, the surrounding was quite messy on the way to onsen.
