—-The room is very clean and has everything! There is even an automatic kettle and a bucket of ice. The only flaw is that the quilt cover looks old and a bit scary, but it's actually quite comfortable.
---The hot spring facilities are relatively old, and the pool is small, but it is very flavorful. It is what you would imagine an open-air hot spring to look like, with a milky white sulfur hot spring, a stone bottom, trees around it, and a real open air. I went in at around 6pm. Since it was dinner time, I was the only one in the entire pool.
——-I only had breakfast here, the Japanese breakfast was great! The menu for dinner has wagyu beef, it should be good too
——The service staff are all old men. It’s quite an old hotel and most Japanese people come to stay.

Conveniently located near the ski slopes. The facility is old, but you can feel the desire to cover it with service. Amenities are modest. The food is delicious. It is better if there is another course for elementary school students.

Superb Hotel to stay while enjoying the beautiful nature of Okunikko. My mate and I stayed for 5 days in total in a western style japanese room. We had plenty of space, everything we expected and more. The onsen was from a natural spring and not to crowded. Bus station was 4 minutes walk away. The breakfast and also the dinner were excellent as well as the service. Outstanding friendly service at the reception and very patient with using translator apps. Definite recommendation!

It is an old facility. Room is a bit dark. Onsen is small as expected.
Yet, food is great, cost is fair. Most important, the staff are extremely helpful and nice.

Worst hotel of the trip. Very outdated and badly in need of repairs. Carpets worn, ripped, curled. Walls dirty, patchy, with holes. Dark and dingy. Not welcoming. Could not eat at restaurant unless pre-booked, and no others nearby. Microwave packet food was only option. One night was too long for this dump.

Onsen: excellent; water often "cold" (40C)
Monkeys, deer, nature all around.
Staff VERY nice, and accommodating.
Fire place.
Dinner and breakfast amazing, but expensive (we paid as much as for accomodation). Next time we will have half-board less often: too much food.Staff very friendly.

It was a very run down aged hotel. Extremely over priced - perhaps a 1 star hotel. I extremely do no recommend staying here
