Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel in Aegina. Overall, it was a positive experience. We stayed in room 205, which is on the side of the church. The bed was comfortable, and there was a small balcony. The AC also worked very well. The front desk staff were friendly and personable. The room was EXTREMELY clean -- and I need to recognize Maria, who is the person at the hotel who keeps everything so clean and the floors shining. She also provides the breakfast and makes great coffees -- all in all a lovely person who is a credit to the hotel (I told her her husband is lucky to have her!). The breakfast is a generous boxed breakfast full of delicious and unique baked good, sandwich, hard boiled egg, fresh bread, honey, etc. - was so much that each day we would keep half for a small lunch at the beach. The building itself is an old greek island mansion - so do not expect the Ritz Carlton newness. It has character, plus at times you will have beautiful bells of the church. Only cautions are 1) if you have mobility issues, ask for a main floor room and 2) if you are driving, be sure to ask for directions as GPS took us down the wrong way for 30 minutes and we got trapped in a narrow dead-end alley (not hotel fault - but just something to keep in mind).
