Takinoya Bekkan Tamanoyu

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The highlight was definitely the *authentic Japanese set dinner and breakfast* provided as part of the package. The *kaiseki-style dinner* was beautifully presented, with a variety of seasonal dishes that showcased local ingredients and flavors. Every course—from the sashimi to the simmered and grilled items—was crafted with care and balance. It felt like a true cultural experience rather than just a meal. Breakfast the next morning was equally impressive—a traditional *Japanese set meal* with rice, miso soup, grilled fish, pickles, and a few small side dishes. Everything was fresh and prepared with a light, healthy touch. The meals alone made the stay worthwhile, especially if you're looking to immerse yourself in *authentic Japanese hospitality and cuisine*. Highly recommended for those who appreciate traditional food in a peaceful, relaxing environment.

Really enjoyed my stay at Takinoya Bekkan Tamanoyu in Noboribetsu. The service was warm and attentive, and the traditional ryokan vibe made it a relaxing experience. It’s just a short walk to Hell Valley, which was super cool to explore.

A Onsen hotel with great service. Tiny hotel such that all member of staff know each customer, great details n great service. The food is of nice touch n excellent quality. Not too much to choose, but well prepared.

Nice dinner, definitely get the chargrilled pork as main, juicy and tender, the sauce worked perfectly with the rice and the meat! I was a bit disappointed that I have to leave early and missed the breakfast to get to the airport, however they prepared me a onigiri bento breakfast to bring along, truly amazing and appreciated.

Very traditional onsen hotel. It is a little old but generally serviceable, though there is a slight sulphur smell which is normal in such hotels. Hotel staff have excellent service levels. Dinner is not gourmet level for good value for money. The WiFi was intermittent which is unfortunate but not a deal breaker.
