This was our first Parador stay and we were very impressed. The monastery building is beautiful, and the work to turn it into a hotel complements its architecture perfectly. The half board was a very good value.

Heck of a ride, the last bit tiny roads, with no idea how much further! Make sure you fill up with petrol as the village, Luintra is the only place for miles. On the Ourense road. Beautiful building with the usual Parador touches, but you need a password to access the lifts. Make sure they explain that to you properly. It's because the place has hordes of visitors, all day. Nice monk's room, modernised, but you may have to duck! Cafeteria is modern, the restaurant is spectacular. walk down. I strolled around, but it is busy, book your meals early. Dinner was ok/good. Bells silent until 10.00 overnight.
