Bounce Noosa

I was meant to stay at this hostel however my circumstances changed therefore I had to cancel my booking. My confirmation email stated “In the event of a no-show or cancellation within 48 hours of your arrival your credit card will be charged 1 night's rate per person, this is non-refundable” Arrival/check in time is 2pm therefore if I cancel before 2pm 48 hours prior to my arrival date I should receive a full refund but this was not the case. I cancelled my booking at 6am 2 days before my check in date and I was charged the first nights stay. I spoke to someone and she said the cut off is midnight 2 days prior to arrival which is technically 62 hours before! Cancellation policy needs to be written correctly! I also wouldn’t recommend staying here as I haven’t heard good things!

Loved this hostel. Very sociable, but without being pushy. Played games (won beer pong, and also T-shirts, tote bags etc) , had cheese & wine night, and DJ’s most afternoons for sunset. Clean kitchen, walk in fridge. Only issue is the location, it’s far out of town, and Uber’s are really difficult to come by on an evening. Bounce could join with a taxi company to make it easier for guests to return rather then a 40min walk in the rain :)

Best hostel on the east coast! The shared spaces like kitchen and bathrooms were clean and really nice. Beds were comfortable and with some private space. Also the pool is so nice. All the staff were really helpful. Would definitively stay again.

We stayed at Bounce in Noosa for 5 nights during our east coast trip. We had pretty high expectations after speaking to a lot of travellers on the way down and seeing amazing reviews on social media.. and without a doubt, the facilities were amazing! And of course the design and interior of the hostel is beautiful compared to any Australian hostel for sure. However, we did have a couple negatives to note. Our biggest being the cleanliness of the pool. The amount of hair in the pool and surrounding areas was disgusting, you couldn’t walk through the water without feeling it wrapped round your ankles.. which was quite off putting. We saw similar issues with hair in the female bathrooms quite often. Whilst we understand us females can lose a lot of hair while showering, it looked as if this aspect of the dirt in the bathroom was being avoided during cleaning. Another annoyance was the lack of sunbeds around the pool area, there seemed to be lots of unused casual seating areas but then only around 10 sunbeds for a hostel holding lots more people. You really had to secure them early if you wanted a sunbathing day! Finally, we expected the vibe of the hostel to be super fun and friendly from seeing it on social media. However, we found the vibe quite off, people were quite unapproachable and it seemed you were either part of the crowd or not part of it. The staff also played a big part in this. Staff were friendly, but most of the time quite unapproachable. Luckily there were 2 of us so we had each other, but I would have personally found it very daunting being a solo traveller walking into bounce. This has also been mentioned to us by solo travellers who have stayed there. Overall it was a good place to stay! Some good and bad bits but for the price we paid, not sure it was all worth it!

By far the best hostel in Australia. Perfect size to meet other travellers, super clean, a great bar with lots of activities you can get involved in. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling the east coast!

Bounce was a good surprise to me. It had almost a hotel vibe for a hostel-like price. The room I stayed in was lovely and clean, and the bathrooms were regularly cleaned. Each bed had an alcove with a light, and charging point, both power points and usb points. There were also large lockers available in the room. The Goki app was great, I loved getting the message updates even though I didn’t use the services. I didn’t use the kitchen, however it looked well equipped. The fridges were full, but I believe they were in the process of purchasing some more. The dry food storage was also full, it was hard to see where free space was. The burger I ordered was a great meal, and there were lots of great food options within walking distances, as well as Woolworths across the road. I’ve heard that Bounce Cairns is quite the party hostel, but I didn’t feel like that here… there was a shuttle bus that took guests out to nightly events at another venue. Downsides Not enough fridge/pantry space. I was on the top floor, and when it rained there was no way to get to the bathroom without getting wet. Parking was available, but not secure to then enter the complex. This would be a great addition to increase security. Distance to Noosa National Park and shopping region not walking distance…not a problem for me with a car. I believe a shuttle went a few times a day, so keep that in mind. Overall, a lovely stay with beautiful rooms. I would definitely stay again.
