Tenuta Olive Alive

What a wonderful experience. We booked this hotel at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances and were welcomed with open arms. The property is located high in the mountains with a perfect view overlooking Noto. The steep drive up was well worth it. The hospitality was incredible. The owner prepared a delicious meal for us and two other couples with fresh ingredients directly from his property. It was the best meal we had over our 2-week trip. The views from all corners of the villa were breathtaking. This was a perfect ending to our Sicily vacation.

We had the most wonderful time staying with Italo at Tenuta Olive Alive. We stayed in Bellavista Cottage for 10 days which was perfect for our family (2 adults, 2 kids aged 3 years and 5 years) The cottage is beautiful, the views are stunning and it has everything you need to make meals and BBQ. The pool is so beautiful. We enjoyed so many afternoons overlooking Noto, the hills and the sea. The resort is so peaceful. The children loved walking around the olive groves and eating nuts and figs. Italo is the most amazing host. (Italo we can't thank you enough, the children are still talking about you!) We will definitely be back one day! It was a really special holiday.

We visited for 4 nights with our two kids (10 & 8). It was an incredible stay and one that we will all remember for years to come. It was the perfect way to start our trip to Italy. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage which was perfect for our family. The 2nd bedroom is a loft area which the kids loved. The cottage is authentic and charming but has good air conditioning, a washing machine, and a well-stocked kitchen. We ate on the patio often and enjoyed the views of Noto and the ocean in the distance. In addition to the many olive trees, there are citrus trees all around. Our kids got lemons from the trees and made lemonade one day. Italo is a great host. He is easy to communicate with and provides great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The first night, we ate by pool at the hotel. Italo and his assistant Amanda cooked an awesome Sicilian meal for us which we all enjoyed. We also really enjoyed the happy hours around the pool each afternoon. Amanda took excellent care of us and our children and brought out many great snacks. She was very kind and provided excellent service. There is also a nice daily breakfast service outside of the main building by the fountains. We really enjoyed that each day. The olive oil that they manufacture is incredible. We used our stay as a base for day trips to various spots in Sicily. We went to Noto, Siricusa/Ortigya, Modica, and a day at a local beach club. Each afternoon we came back to enjoy the resort and relax. If you want a beautiful, authentic, well-located, and low-key way to experience this part of Sicily, this is where you will want to stay. Highly recommend.

A lovely little hotel nestled in the hills outside of Noto. Italo is a wonderful host!! Super comfortable, quiet and relaxing - inclusive of amazing views (wait until you see the road up to the hotel... one switchback after another!), a lovely spa and pool area and gorgeous grounds. Incredible food, too (breakfast and dinner!). Great proximity to Noto, Siracusa and vineyards (be sure to visit Planeta Buonivini). We loved every minute of our time there!

This small hotel is perfect in every way: - gorgeous, rural setting - refreshing pool with a view of Noto - warm host/owner. Italo made us feel as comfortable as family - well located for exploring the area. - great recommendations for restaurants and activities. - delicious breakfast with homemade jams and treats. To top it off, our host, Italo cooked us a very special dinner for my birthday, navigating dietary requests with ease. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer. We already want to go back.

We loved our stay. We are a family of 5 and had 3 rooms - the Etna, Syracusa and the Caltagirone rooms for 4 days. Italo gave us a tour of the beautiful grounds, pool and the incredible spa. After travelling from Ortigia, we decided it would be nice to have a home cooked meal by the pool overlooking the lovely country side. Well it happened to be one of the best meals we had in Sicily. Italo is not only a wonderful and gracious host but also an amazing cook! We had tuna tartare, pasta alla norma, sea bream with the best caponata we have ever had. It was a gorgeous evening!! Thank you Italo and staff for an unforgettable and wonderful stay.
