The room and hotel is one of the most beautiful and unique properties we have ever been at around the world. The rapids lull you to sleep and the accommodations fit in the the landscape but still provide a luxurious experience. The staff were attentive to every need (even to be sure we saw the monkeys before we left on our way out and were sure to book our massages on the rapids before leaving). The food was both authentic Ugandan with global dishes and all elevated to fine dining. I have nothing but the best things to say about Lemala and would definitely come back.

It has been the greatest stay , the entire team made it memorable . Special shout to Armstrong who welcomed us, and kept tabs until our leave. The food is amazing, best tasted in Uganda so far. ( great one to chef Vincent). I will return soon. Xxx

It’s a get away that gives you a total African experience. With the sceneries, the food, the people, room 9 is for goals. (I recommend) It’s the safest trip experienced, the nature, the view at the restaurant. It’s impressive . It’s a great get away. Armstrong you are an asset and a very valuable staff in the area. The chef gives every bite that traditional feel. Man! This place is a dream. Welldone Lemala wild waters, you have my heart. ❤️

We recently stayed at Lemala Wildwaters Lodge, spending $550 per night, expecting a luxurious and relaxing experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. At first, the lodge looked beautiful, but as soon as we were taken to our room, the issues started. The main attraction of the room—the outdoor bathtub—lacked a privacy wall, making it completely exposed to other rooms. This was never mentioned during booking, and had we known, we wouldn’t have chosen this room. When we requested a room change, the manager simply told us there was no availability and offered no solution. Another major issue was the cleanliness. The room was filled with lizards, and their droppings were everywhere—even near the kettle and cups. There were multiple lizards under the bathroom sink as well. While we understand the lodge is in the middle of nature, basic pest control and fumigation should be maintained, especially at this price point. We also wanted to enjoy some international beers listed on the menu, but they were unavailable. The manager promised to arrange them but disappeared after our complaint and never followed up. The food was also very average and the vegetarian options were extremely limited, with only 2-3 choices. The cereal & granolas served for breakfast were stale and not fresh because they were served in open bowls instead or closed jars. For a property at this level, we expected a much better dining experience. The glass door in the room was not soundproof, making it difficult to sleep due to the loud water noise all night. If you like quiet sleep then avoid this property. Some areas of the property were not well-maintained—spider webs were left unattended, and lounging couches had spiders around them, making it uncomfortable. Not to mention the use of cheap quality switches in the room which was so difficult to even press for charging our phones. The pool, which is quite small, was overcrowded with day visitors when we wanted to use it. Worse, it was dirty and had an unpleasant smell, making it completely uninviting. Overall, while some staff members were helpful, the manager’s lack of concern and the poor maintenance of the property made this stay far from enjoyable. For the amount we spent, this was not worth it at all. There are far better options available, and I wouldn’t recommend wasting money here.

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Completely surreal in beautiful surroundings. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. From our first impressions of the hotel as we were greeted by Armstrong and the restaurant service from Justine everything was perfect. The rooms are stunning with the noise of the river and the rapids all night. Wonderful food in the restaurant. Our only complaint is we didn’t have more time to spend there!

Luxury island retreat, exceptional service with excellent food and drink. Room no.3 Victoria overlooking Kalagala Falls. Stunning reception, lounge, dining area. Access by boat to the island. A very safe trip with lovely boatmen about 2 minutes. Safe parking landslide. Comfortable room, king bed, mosquito nets, no aircon, but there is a fan and mesh on the patio doors. Hairdryer. Deck with outside bath - very nice sunset bathing with a view. Fantastic bird life, plus red tailed monkeys. Three course meals for lunch and dinner and excellent breakfast. Nice bar with wine and gins included. Best mandazi of the entire trip. Stunning small pool overlooking the River Nile at source.

A wonderful experience. A charming venue with individual chalets overlooking the white water rapids of the River Nile. The choice of food on the menu was outstanding with an excellent selection of wines and spirits available with their full board option.A lovely plunge pool next to the rapids. The staff were all excellent. The chalet had a particularly comfortable bed and the sound of the water rushing by outside made sleep almost immediate and undisturbed. everything was kept spotlessly clean. If I have a small criticism it would be that the bathrooms could be updated. I took an opportunity to experience the whitewater rafting that was absolutely unbelievable. Very professionally run and very safe indeed, a truly exhilarating experience. Overall outstanding
