Designed for comfort and practicality, all rooms include a fridge/freezer, microwave, hand basin, kettle, toaster and associated cutlery, plates bowls glasses etc.
All rooms have reversed cycle air-conditioning and bathrooms are equipped with rain showers and modern fixtures. Free car parking and bike storage is available to all our customers, as well as free unlimited WIFI is also provided.
At the Railway Motel, we have introduced a state-of-the-art automated keyless entry self-check in system. This new technology allows for quick, easy and contactless self-check in. Reservations are made online or by utilizing the check-in machine on site.
Our friendly management staff are available from 8.30am till 5pm, Monday to Saturday for all your requirements during your stay.

This used to be my go-to spot for years, but I’ll never come back after my last visit. The experience was beyond awful. If you’re bringing a bike, think again. They make you leave it in an insecure room that feels like anyone could walk in and take it. On top of that, the rooms are ridiculously hard to access that make getting your stuff in and out a total nightmare. The overall vibe of the place has gone downhill, and it’s clear they don’t care about their guests anymore. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay. This place isn’t worth the hassle.

Good location. Refurbishment has been very tastefully done. Best facilities are Bike Storage room and outdoor seating/dining area. Ability to charge EV while staing for five nights was excellent. Only issue was noise caused by wind banging tree branches against tin roof of carport (Room 10).

We were happy with our room for 2 nights. Self checkin was easy, though I did have trouble when it came to payment. A quick phone call and all was sorted. The room was small with a queen and single. The usual bench for the toaster and kettle, which also accommodated a sink which doubled for hand washing and dishwashing. There was a single chair, mwo, large TV, plates etc. The toilet and large shower were in a seperate alcove. The rain shower was excellent, and the whole room was lovely and bright in a predominate white decor. Bed was comfortable and even though there's no outlook, they've planted a tree in the tiny enclosure. Most rooms have undercover parking and you use your phone number to access your room. Good lighting throughout but no reading lights (only a down light) or bedside tables except for a very tiny shelf. All in all, a pleasant stay and would probably stay again. PLEASE NOTE, PHOTOS TAKEN WHEN WE WERE CHECKING OUT.

Great management to deal with, constant updates re: our booking. Easy self check-in. Nice re-furbished rooms. Our twin room was big, clean and comfortable, lovely comfy beds, great shower, all requirements for having breakfast/light meals in-room if required, undercover car port outside the door was a bonus due to the rain. Easy walking to Pubs, restaurants, cafes & shops.

Don't be deceived by the exterior. Really modern and comfortable. It really compact but they have made the most of the space with clever design. Automated check-in is cool. A place to stash bicycles - there's no other reason really to be in Mrytleford. Good value.

Our nut business regularly brings us to the region; we were delighted with the recent renovations and modernisation. Our room was light and the fittings well designed. The shower recess is spacious and water temperature easy to set. 24hour digital check in allowed us late check-in, and a quick call to friendly Kelly sorted my lack of tech saviness. Loss of internet signal late Sunday afternoon saw Shaun come to our rescue, and when my lap top still did not respond he let me log into my bank in the motel office, before resuming his Sunday afternoon .

Our stay at the Railway was excellent! Kelly and Shaun are extremely accommodating and welcoming. The rooms have been freshly renovated and with a young family, location is perfect.. walking distance to everything in town. We will be back! 😊
