Royal Cocoon is a charming bungalow hotel in the heart of Nuwara Eliya, offering a blend of colonial elegance and modern comfort. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery, making it a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. The garden is lovely. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and they’re decorated with family baroque furnishings that aim to reflect the heritage of the area. The beds are big and very comfortable, and the bathrooms are clean and well-equipped. The cosy common areas, including a lovely garden and a welcoming lounge, add to the homely atmosphere. Service is warm and attentive, with staff going out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The food is all freshly prepared, with a good selection of Sri Lankan and Western dishes. Breakfast, in particular, is a highlight, featuring fresh fruit, local specialities, and excellent tea. The location is convenient for exploring Nuwara Eliya, with key attractions such as Victoria Park, Gregory Lake, and tea estates nearby. It’s an excellent choice for those looking for a quiet, relaxing stay with a touch of old-world charm. Would definitely recommend for a comfortable and memorable stay in Nuwara Eliya!

Great place. Excellent service, very helpful and friendly staff. Food was so nice and vary tasty. Huge garden with beautiful view. Rooms are very spacious and cozy.room was clean and tidy.best location very close to town. Walking distance.

It was a 150 yr old British heritage property with huge lawn and beautiful outdoors. The cook was excellent serving warm and homely meals. Rooms were clean and service was prompt. It's an excellent building with wooden floors and games rooms etc

Отель видно когда то был неплох, но сейчас находится в ужасном состоянии, а персонал клянчит хорошие отзывы 😡На основании отзывов забронировали на 1 ночь, и правильно сделали 🤣отель красивый на картинках- полное разочарование внутри! Отель неопрятный, видно что все старое и главное, нечистое. Сантехника в ужасном состоянии, унитаз качается, в углах душа грязная плесень, полотенца застиранные, постельное белье в дырках, затхлый запах. В «ресторане» ужасные черные скатерти, нет вентиляции, персонал непрофессиональный. Зато есть повар Амиз, который заговаривает гостей и отбиться невозможно👎 решили поужинать в отеле. Амиз уговорил взять РОТИ ( рубленное тесто в масле со специями) Мы поели салат из моркови и огуреца 1 на 2х + РОТИ 1 на 2х + чай ( соков не оказалось, а спиртное мы не пьем) заплатили за это 30 $ при том , что все РОТИ было совершенно не вкусным, и спросили себя « Что это было?» На следующий день мы переехали в другой отель, ужинали в ресторане Гранд Тай где получили удовольствие от еды за те же деньги. Не рекомендую отель Royal cocoon в НувараЭлия достаточно хороших отелей и ресторанов, не стоит здесь останавливаться!!!!!
