This time capsule is definitely for Brit History lovers, tea lovers, who appreciate perfect gardens and pix of the Queen's visit 50 years ago. Not for foodies -- had to order Brit food 4 - 24 hours in advance of meal time. Not for folks who are active. Nothing to do but hire a driver to visit tea plantations. I might have explored golf option in the rain, but chose instead to depart after one night.

Piece of history, well preserved and equally well brought to life by Hashim through his narration, anecdotes and special care. This is worth a visit when in Nuwara Eliaya. Plush and manicured lawns, beautiful flowers, well preserved artifacts, and welcoming staff... A beautiful morning well spent

We had a lovely tour of the Hill Club and learnt all about the fascinating history of the Followed by a lovely lunch in the historic dining room Staff are incredibly polite & helpful. The whole experience takes up back to time of the English & Scottish tea planters.

We had a fantastic visit to the Hill Club in Nuwara Eliya, where our host gave us an insightful and entertaining tour of the rooms. Their knowledge, humor, and warmth made the experience truly special. It was fascinating to see the historic artefacts, from vintage gramophones to classic typewriters, which added to the charm of this beautifully preserved place. The club’s ambiance, rich history, and welcoming atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone in the area. Highly recommended!

Very informative and fascinating would go again with other family members as it shows lots of heritage and historical value to Sri Lanka and you get to learn a lot about the history and about how monarchy from England have come over and the story behind all of it.

Very nice to have a cold Beer. We were given a very nice tour through the halls and afterwards drink a cold beer in the garden. Definitely a place worth to visit. Enjoy a very chilled beer in the garden. Nice beer in the garden very nice beer in the garden.

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour around Sri Lanka on our honeymoon. Our driver had told them in advance it was our honeymoon so they had a lovely towel heart made on our bed when we arrived, and they delivered us a lovely cake. The location was great, very close to the town, and beautiful gardens. It was a little cooler on the night we stayed and as part of the turn down service they put hot water bottles under the covers! Be aware this is a private members club so you have to wear formal wear (ie jacket, tie and trousers for men) to have dinner in the main restaurant and to use the rooms downstairs in the evening - we hadn't realised this and had not brought that attire so had to eat in a smaller back room in the evening, and were the only ones in there!
