Start of our Camino de Santigo walk and a great way to begin. Only a couple of nights here but good value for money. Both the meals and rooms were more than exceptable. For non-Spanish speaking guests the reception staff had excellent English and the dinning staff managed to get by. Easy access to the riverside path and front facing rooms have a stunning view of the river and beyond. The hotel provided a picnic lunch for onward travellers-all in all a great start. Thanks Parador.

We had a very comfortable stay in Tui Parador. The breakfast was delicious, bed comfortable, service good. Great value for the price. Location was excellent for walking the Camino. The place was very clean and well run.

1928 Parador with a lovely view over the river - near to town and on the Camino. That’s the good bit. The hotel is noisy from both rooms on either side and above and the restaurant is dire -Group coach food - a long way from Spain. Best to go into town for better food etc.

We're on a 3-week driving trip around northwestern Spain and Portugal. We're staying in Airbnb's and inexpensive hotels, but have always wanted to stay in a Parador, and last night was it. The building and grounds are beautiful, location is perfect. Rooms are pretty small but well furnished. But my 3 rating comes from the level of service. I was really surprised that there was nobody to help with our luggage. For $250+ a night, that seems about as basic as you can get. (I compare that with the Airbnb owner who drove from his home to meet us at the door, helped park the car, hauled our luggage, and returned at our checkout time to help with all that and give us a gift.) To be clear: the staff at the desk was friendly and efficient, as were the bar staff. But we were really expecting an outstanding level of service across the board at the Parador, so we have to put this in the "Not worth it" column.

We had a very pleasant stay at this Parador. It seems very well maintained and the grounds were immaculate. The room was fairly standard and much like at other Paradors. For my wife and I the mattress was too firm for our liking. My only negative is the grout in the shower is in need of a good cleaning. Breakfast was good although with not as many choices as some other paradors. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. There was plenty of parking.

We highly recommend this lovely hotel. We stayed here on our Camino journey and Hotel Parador was a welcome, peaceful place to recharge. The hotel overlooks the river between Portugal and Spain with nice views from its grounds of the fortress in Valenca, Portugal. We were tired so we had a nice apertivo on the hotel's terrace before having dinner in their dining room. Dinner was great and so was the breakfast the next morning. There was no need to venture deeper into Tui to find a restaurant. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to fill up our water bottles before we continued on the Camino.

San Telmo parador is a jewel the tranquility the views, walking along the Mino River is a unforgivable experience, spectacular sunrise low fog above the river and below the mountains creates and incredible experience. Location is perfect I prefer walking and that was one of the highlights of my stay.
