My partner and I have just returned from a week's stay here. The hotel itself is absolutely brilliant - the staff are all really helpful and work tirelessly to ensure that your stay is a positive experience. The lady who does the cleaning never stops working. The location of the property was ok for us, but some people may struggle with the very steep incline up to the property, especially in the heat. Taxi's are required, so ensure that you prepare for this financially - the cost is around 5 euro's into town. We walked into town, which took around 20 mins alongside the lake and took a taxi back. The walk is safe at night, although crossing the busy main road can be difficult. The only couple of issues that were disappointing are the limited breakfast menu which you need to walk to a local restaurant for - where the service was dire and the availability of the food on the breakfast menu was limited. We walked into town to seek a better breakfast elsewhere. The other issue is the number of people who smoke constantly around the pool and i mean chain smoke. Brits are the minority, which is great for us, but our European fellows take a different mindset to smoking and its impact on others - so beware, it isn't just at the hotel, but in restaurants etc too. We observed one lady literally smoke 3 cigarettes, one after another. Not pleasant, especially when around the pool, there is no other space to escape to, as the terrace is small. Overall, a lovely place, just 12 rooms, good mix of nationalities (except the smoking) and a relaxed week had, in a lovely place - go visit before the Brit masses arrive!
