Sky Corner Hotel

Good position close to the town center and walking distance from the bus station. Spacious room, good internet connection, good breakfast, friendly personnel. Cleaning service could be surely improved.

Extremely disappointing experience. We waited over 45 minutes before being told there were issues with the pizza oven—only to wait another 20 minutes for an undercooked pizza. Half of our order was missed, and basic things like cutlery and share plates were provided after we asked for it. The Green Thai curry was watery, flavourless, and lacked vegetables. The Rogan Josh was bland with mostly skin instead of proper meat. To top it off, no one even asked how the food was after we finished our meal. The service felt uninterested and untrained—staff didn’t know the menu or the ingredients. Would not recommend. I would give 0.

This place is best avoided. It is cheaply decorated and a bit downmarket. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable but we didn’t enjoy having breakfast in the nightclub and there are many things that could be improved. The coffee at breakfast was awful and we would have liked some nicer bread. There was nowhere to put anything down in our bathroom and the towels were thin and in need of replacement.

Nice hotel at top of main street leading from the lake. Impressed wiyh the room and hotel in general. Reception on arrival bit undwrwhelming, but friedly staff doon abated tgst. Room of a very good standard for dize of hotel and wouldnt have a problem staying here again. Breakfast badic but enough to set you up for the day.

We took a “triple room with city view” on a weekend rate, which is double the normal price. We were a family of 3 adults. We paid while checking in and when we got to the room, we were shocked to see that it was a queen bed with additional arm chair that extends into a lounge chair of some sort. This chair was old, unstable and unsuitable for an adult to spend the night on it. A small window opened and all we could see was an aluminum fence. We notified the receptionist that we want to leave the room and by the time we grabbed our bags and went down to the reception - she was “gone for the day” (however, a security personnel was conveniently present at the reception). To our disbelief, we couldn’t get ahold of anyone from the hotel. Literally NO ONE. It was so creepy! The security personnel called someone on the phone and told us that there are no other rooms and he cant do anything for us. We basically remained in the street. Of course we left the hotel and we tried to call them the next day to complain. A person called Tamara answered the call (rather irritated that we called) and said that she will call us back upon discussion which of course, never happened. They have never called, nor answered our calls or emails. I am writing this review as I would hate for your family to go through what mine did. There are so many honest and ethical properties out there who can provide safe and comfortable environment for you and your loved ones, but unfortunately this place is not one of them.

Sky Corner needs to decide if they are an accomodation provider OR a nightclub venue! Being both gives guests a bad experience. We stayed 3 nights and on 2 of those nights the upstairs nightclub operated until around 1.30 am with horrible deafening noise (I wouldn’t call it music). Guests staying on the third floor are also subjected to the scraping and thumping of chairs and tables to set up around 9pm then again at 2 am to 3 am to reset the breakfast room. There was a lot of noise on the stairs as the patrons left the premises. Also annoying was there was a board advertising massages but when we asked reception we were told “first floor” We went there on 3 occasions to try to book and emailed to the reservation email on the advertising but could not get anyone in person or by email. We felt the staff were mostly unfriendly and unhelpful. On the first night we had drinks at the bar and used the QR code on the table to decide on dinner then we were told the restaurant was not operating dinner service! No advice of this was given prior and the menus were on every table. On the plus side we loved Ohrid and the hotel was easy walking distance to the old city and boat port.
