Victoria Spa Lodge

This is a little gem of a guest house. We were greeted by lovely Abbey. This young lady is a great hostess. She was so helpful. Bedroom was fantastic with a beautiful decor and a modern bathroom. Lovely fluffy towels. Bed was very comfortable. Room was immaculately clean. Breakfast was continental and ample. You won’t starve as plenty of choice. Gardens are lovely and spacious. Train station and park and ride to central Stratford is a five minute walk away. Plenty of private parking. It has a fascinating history and some lovely pieces of art. Having stayed at many guest houses we found this one good value for the price we paid. No it’s not central but you would pay an awful lot more if it was. It isn’t suitable for people with walking difficulties, as there are stairs to climb. This is a listed popery with beautiful period features. We will definitely return.

The room was lovely and comfortable and the en suite modern and well appointed. The front of house point of contact Francesco was lovely. He advised on walking times and where to eat and could not have more pleasant and helpful. Having arrived early we waited in the living room where chilled music played. The communal areas were jaded and need a good clean. The sofas need replacing as they are stained and the covers worn.

Really lovely, exceptionally clean, the continental breakfast was good, host is very welcoming and helpful, the room is lovely, bed was comfortable. A little quirky, would defiantly stay again. The bathroom was new with all I needed. Although near a road, nice quit location.
