Hotel Greenland - All Inclusive

It was fantastic and we got a very nice experience

We have been to Turkey numerous times but never All-inclusive. Or to this region. The hotel was superb .the rooms were a Normal size for a hotel with a huge Queen bed. Our sheets and towels were changed every day, and bottled water left in the fridge. 1 week before we travelled I emailed the hotel and requested a upper floor room with a pool view if at all available ,bearing in mind you pay extra for a pool view if you book one. On arrival we had the upper floor and a view of the pool ,if not directly in front but was good enough seeing we didn't pay extra. The top pool is a quiet pool with no music or games ideal for relaxing and has a bar with veranda looking over the pool and mountains. The bottom pool is for games , music and families with kids. The shows every night were very good especially the Ethiopian acrobatics. The restaurant had places to eat inside or outside ,all buffet style but excellent food every day with different choices every day from roast beef , kebabs , sish kebab, turkish lasagne, meatballs and starters with the freshest bread . Breakfast still buffet style with cooked to order omelette and pancakes. The staff were very good helping anyway they could , we made friends with a waiter called Omar who was very attentive but he had to leave before the end of our holiday as he was a University student. All in all a wonderful hotel with great staff and great food. Please do not listen to the negative remarks on TripAdvisor as they are talking total bulls..t. We travelled to Greenland hotel for our honeymoon had wine and fruit left in our room as well as petals on the bed a really nice touch. The hotel itself is lovely staff are helpful but unobtrusive plenty of sun loungers and activities put on during the day even in October food was beautiful and varied well cooked and plentiful. This is a place I would definitely go to again. The only slight disadvantage is it’s all on a hill so if you mobility issues this maybe isn’t the resort for you.

On my way to Dalaman Airport after an amazing 2 weeks at Hotel Greenland. We were on a tighter budget this year and it took a whole to find somewhere that met what we were looking for (all inclusive, not in a big resort, not in middle of nowhere, good reviews, activities to keep the younger teenager occupied. Eventually found Hotel Greenland and it proved a great decision. Genuinely friendly and helpful staff l, but I’d like to particularly single out our amazing housekeeping lady (always smiling, rooms immaculately cleaned everyday) and the entertainment/ activity trio (and I guess Mr Green himself too!). Great selection of food and drinks with good variety even over a 2 week period. Evening entertainments of a really high standard too. We groaned when ‘Mr Green’ himself was doing the comedy night, but it was brilliant, best laugh in a long time.

This was my favourite holiday to date. The hotel was lovely and the area was so beautiful. There were several cleaners everything was always up to standard. There was so much variety of things to do and we never got bored. Our favourite part was the staff, I have never met friendlier staff in my life. They always made sure you were having a good time and giving everything a go. One entertainer, Arda made our holiday so much better. He was always making sure everyone was having fun and joining in. The music in the hotel was always enjoyable, a massive variety and we loved every song. I would 100% recommend this holiday for the staff alone they were so polite and hardworking. Our beds were comfortable and our rooms were always kept clean.

We had a brilliant holiday, we were a group of 8, of varying ages and all really enjoyed ourselves. Our preference was the top pool (the ‘quiet’ one) which we discovered on day 3.. it was far more suited to us. And the bar area up there was fabulous, it was cool and shaded and the staff in here were brilliant. The pancakes at the top too were fantastic we loved them! The food overall was pretty good in general, however there seemed to be a lot of spaghetti?! As an option for dinner. We would have rather had more authentic Turkish food on offer. The drinks were ok but nothing to write home about. However the hotel was very good value for money, so you get what you pay for. Housekeeping was good the rooms were clean, although our bathroom was always warm (the aircon didn’t work in there) We had a day out at Sugar Beach (private beach) booked via reception for 200 Lira each, you got the transfer there and back a sun lounger and umbrella. It was an excellent day, and would highly recommend this to others. The entertainment was good, the shows that were put on were enjoyable - the best for us was the guy with the guitar and singing he was excellent!!

Greenland Hotel is very welcoming, clean, and staff are very nice and attentive. It’s only downfall for us was the food. Food: It’s very samey. We were there 7 days and had Spag Bol 3 times. It’s a little bland too. Lots of flies on the salads so they need to cover them up. The milk for tea is awful so don’t expect to get a proper English cup of tea while you are there but coffee is nice. Full English breakfast was disappointing - no bacon, bland beans and I found that they overlooked the omelettes. The pancakes were nice though and they were cooked in front of you. The bread was also delicious. The fruit selection was v poor. No bananas, no watermelon or strawberries. Instead there were big red apples that had no flavour, little peaches and big oranges that were actually nice. Pool: there are two pools. The main one is by the dining/entertainment area. This has a slide which my son enjoyed. The other pool is at the top of Cardiac Hill (we’ll get to that later). This pool is quiet and we didn’t go in it. It also doesn’t have the views that the lower pool has - which are stunning. The pool depths in Turkey are v annoying. They are 1.45 so my son couldn’t stand in this at all. There’s no graduation of depth. You just get in and it’s deep. There was a tiny circular pool but that was just for babies and toddlers. Pool was clean and well maintained. Rooms: we really liked our room. Clean and tidy and spacious. We had a family room with two sleeping areas and two balconies. Balconies are quite small. TV’s work fine and a few English channels, air con was also good. There was no bath in our bathroom but shower was good. Ladies - bring you’re own hairdryer if you like to blow dry your hair. Hairdryer is rubbish, too hot and kept cutting out. It’s also in the bathroom! The Hotel gardens are beautifully kept. They have tortoises, chickens and cats roaming free. There wasn’t loads of cats but the ones that are there are v friendly and the hotel takes good care of them. One had had a litter and they were v well looked after. Fed and watered and little houses for the kittens to stay safe. Entertainment: we didn’t watch a lot of it to be honest, there is a stage/theatre area outside where you sit on pillows which was a nice touch. They had a fire show there one night which was good. The kids like to use this area to play football before the show starts but it’s not always lit which I think it should be as the kids definitely enjoy football more than the shows. There is also another stage area next to the inside bar where they had a band one night and bingo another night. You have to pay for bingo! And the prizes were awful. Fake designer handbags, free cocktails etc. I think the best prize was a Greenland hotel t shirt. There is a shop at the hotel selling snacks, a few gifts and toiletries etc. there is also a small gym, hairdressers and closed down jewellery shop. Good Tips Have lots of cash for taxi’s - the hotel isn’t really walking distance

A lovely small hotel. The grounds are kept well. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing and the restaurant set up was not great like queuing gor school dinners and extremely cramped. The rooms are outdated and tiny and very dark.
