Montebello Deluxe Hotel

A really good hotel overall. Nice rooms (we had a double deluxe room). Nice pool, good food (we stayed B&B - we ate out of the hotel for lunch and evening meals). Pretty quiet hotel with mostly adult guests. Nice helpful staff. Room cleaning very good. Our Deluxe room was good with air con, fridge, a good sized bathroom, towels change daily (the cleaning staff are very good), a nice balcony and good beds. Great location - easy to walk to the beach, Blue Lagoon and the main *****. Lots of nearby supermarkets and restaurants. Easy to get a public bus service from near the hotel to Hisaranu and Fetihye. Would recommend this hotel and we would stay there again.

The first 2 pics are what I was informed I’d get, the rest are the room I got put in with cockroach on the floor. So I arrived early hours of Saturday morning and was taken to a room in the back far right side corner block, was meant to have a standard room for single use as the first pics state on their site, the room was small but I can handle that, there was a cockroach running around the floor, I pointed out and the staff member just said sorry and left me to deal with it, the room had a dirty used ashtray in it and I don’t smoke, there was a funny smell in the room and after the staff member left I looked around the room opened the bathroom door to the most horrific vile smell I’ve ever smelt, I couldn’t even stand in there to brush my teeth let alone shower for the 10 days I was staying! I went to reception and told them about this and asked to get room changed as I was unliveable and was told they were full and to come back after the manager arrived at 10, still waiting to speak to manager , my holiday rep came into hotel and I informed her of the issue and she spoke to staff who said they can change my room later that day. Which eventually they did, later than they told me. Now on arrival back home I told my holiday company about this and they are now lying and said I made a fuss and wanted a pool view, nothing about the smell, I have proof of me contacting the rep about this prior to room move. Staff at reception are rude and clearly lying. The room I was given eventually was one like the picture shows you on booking not the back of beyond disgusting smelly room they put me in, broken wardrobe that didn’t open or close, dirty used ashtray in the room. Bar staff were lovely and friendly, food wasn’t up to much but I ate out everyday anyway so not an issue. I would’ve said I’d go back again but now they are saying I’m lying I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole. No entertainment. Food not great. Rude reception staff! Location was perfect and the bar staff were nice.

We arrived at the hotels round lunch time and were asked to wait 2 hours until our room was ready there was also confusion about our booking with no record at reception. We waited by the pool which was fairly nice but ruined by horrible loud music played on repeat at the pool bar. Finally we were shown to our room which seems to be in the un renovated block. The room was disgusting it smelt damp and of sewage there was mould covering all walls the bathroom was leaking and there was grime and dirt everywhere basically is was terrible living conditions. We tried to stay outside as much as possible to avoid being in the stench and disgusting living conditions of the room. It was that bad that we found alternative accomodation for the rest of our trip. We will not be recommending this place and definitely never returning!!

I travelled solo for my holiday . I arrived around 2 in the morning and check in was quick and friendly . My bag was taken to my room for me. My room was clean and comfortable and I had a decent sized balcony with a little table too. All the staff have been accommodating and friendly while still being professional. I stayed bed and breakfast. The breakfast was typical Turkish style.. when in Turkey .. The cleaning ladies were lovely and my room was always spotless and fresh . I have enjoyed my stay so much that I have booked again for May and Oct next year . 200 yards from the beach and dolmus stop.. A short ride to the lagoon and easy rid up the hill to hisoronu. Perfect location and wonderful staff have made my holiday so lovely .. Many thanks xx
