As for the ***agement, the government is keeping tabs on foreigners asking for all the documents for legally entering the country. It’s really hostile for ***agement to act like immigration officers. And then bothering again and again because they made a mistake in filing some government intimations forms about a foreigner being here. No other hotel system in other states have bothered me about my documents even after I entered this country legally.
They placed us in a corner and forgot about us. Room service only showed up after 3rd day, room cleaning.
Overall, this place is just a fancy looking place with poor services. FYI their food was horrible, it tasted like rubbish, weird blend of spices that didn’t even felt like Indian food. I ordered Gobi ***churian and some fries that arrived cold.
Outside food is not allowed, so I had to walk a quarter of a km away in the cold so be prepared.
4 star resort with 2 star service.

Positives - Comfortable beds. Nice views. Excellent dinner and breakfast.
Negatives - Wifi didn’t work. Service was painfully slow.

Hotel location is good......Common areas are well maintained however the rooms are not as reflected in photograph on the website....Restaurant is not well ***aged although the staff is good but I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement. ...Buffet breakfast is good....Biryani taste was good....Food in general was good...Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to transfer my luggage from room during checkout.....There was a lot of difference between the price as mentioned on trip.com and directly with hotel.....Trip.com was less for the same Privilege Suite....

Had a lovely stay here. The location is just perfect. We requested for a hill view room and they gave us the best view room available. Food is great specially the local dishes. Special thanks to Chef Chinmaya who took care of our requests. Srijana is very warm and courteous. Look forward to coming back soon !!

The hospitality of the hotel is excellent. It is really neat and clean. All the staffs especially Srijana abd Aftab are well disciplined and very helpful. They are always ready to render the best services to all the gust tiredlessly. Their smiling faces with wonderful service will alyays attract the guset in the hotel. They are really the pure assets of the hotel Sterling Elk Hill. In my opinion this hotel is the crown of the queen of the Nilgiri hills. Sincerly request all please visit the hotel abd enjoy the Ooty with undoubted and tiredless service of the staffs of the staff of the Hotel.

The overall experience was fabulous. The trip was a very memorable one. A must visit place in terms of a beautiful vacation. Hospitality was top notch, view from the room was awesome, service food and the room in itself was extremely good. Kudos to all the staffs. Keep rocking! Best hotel
