This was my second time at the Caribbean. This is a sprawling resort and depending on where your room is located, it can be a long walk to the main building or the gondola. Rooms are a good size and everything was clean. But so was the Holiday Inn we stayed at for one night on this trip. At $350 per night you are paying for the privilege of being on Disney property with some minor benefits of early admissions to the parks. The restaurant is basically a fast food setup, when you order at a station and pick up food from the kitchen, Nothing special. There are two gondola stations nearby, but it was a 15 minute walk and we wound up driving over and parking close by. Plus, the gondolas break down...I Guess pretty frequently. One time we had to divert over to Disney Studios and take a boat to EPCOT, so our 15 minute ride turned into 45 minutes. TV was adequate, wi-fi was good. We were there to go to EPCOT so we did not use the pools. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I don't think we got enough out of the extra cost to justify a higher rating.

Me and my fiancé stayed here at the beginning of January. 1st thing when we got to our room we noticed was the bed was 2 small doubles instead of a king we agreed upon booking. We rang the reception which told us we should never have been offered one king as they only come in 2s in the room. Also, apparently these 2 beds were kings. They were not. Small doubles at best. Me and my partner tried to stay in one together the first night of which he rolled out of - that’s how small these beds were. After being told this about our beds, we noticed the carpet was soaking wet once taking our shoes off - the air con was leaking. We called again and they changed us rooms. After getting in the following evening we had new neighbours, which was a very loud crying baby. Of course baby’s cry - however - I’m a very light sleeper and these walls were so paper thin the baby may as well have been in our room. We paid extra to upgrade and move hotels. Probably good for family’s as good transport links, but not good for a quiet couples getaway. Reminded me more of a motel than hotel.

My family and I recently spent the week at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and had a wonderful stay. We booked with Robyn Ayers at Dream Makers Vacation Services. Robyn was extremely helpful with managing our booking and dining. She provided helpful tips and made sure we got the most out of our vacation. We picked this resort for the convenience of the skyliner which makes getting to Epcot and Hollywood Studios so easy. We were in the Jamaica section which was perfect for walking over to the main Old Port Royale area and it was a short walk to the skyliner. The bus service was great during our stay with us being the only guests onboard more than once. We loved the theming of the resort and every cast member we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly. We can't wait to return and would definitely stay at Caribbean Beach again!

A gem of a resort. This was our 12 visit to Disney and the second time staying at Caribbean Beach (previously 2001). This resort has undergone a fantastic refurbishment. The room we had was in the Trinidad section and was new, clean, and superbly located. Its proximity to the small quick service place that Trinidad had meant we were able to refill our resort mugs up with hot coffee on the morning and soft drinks during the day very quickly. We were also a 10min walk across the bridge from the skyliner which was brilliant and we could be in Hollywood Studios in 10 mins. The housekeeping was excellent too and every other day our room was cleaned, new towels and my daughters soft toys arranged in the cutest way. Every single cast member we met was lovely and we had a wonderful stay. It puts some of the deluxe resorts to shame!

Great place to stay for trips to Disney if you aren't looking for a lot of fancy frills or feel the congestion of other resorts. We stayed in the Jamaica section which was perfect for hopping on the skyliner. The resort itself is very spread out so you may want to indicate if you want to be closer to the lobby/main building/main pool or to the skyliner. Two issues that warrant a rating of 4--this resort is older, and despite being well maintained there aren't very many plugs. This was an issue for us because I use an ECV and requested a fully accessible room. The room was fully accessible but there were only TWO plugs in the room itself--one in between the beds and one in between the far bed and the wall. The cord to plug the ECV overnight is only 8' long. I called both housekeeping and maintenance to see if they had an extension cord, each suggested I go up to the front desk to ask. I used app to request a cast member, who told me by chat that they didn't have extension cords and I should plug my ECV outside to charge over night--which was not feasible as there was 2 days of constant rain (atypical for FL) AND the only outdoor plug we found would block any other carts or ECVs for other guests. We ended up having to move the bed away from the wall to pull the ECV in to get the cord close enough to plug in for two nights until we could get a three prong extension cord for the ECV. The second issue was how slick the painted sidewalks were with the rain--they had caution signs up everywhere so this is a known issue but still, more than once I lost footing or drifted on the ECV going around a corner. We could tell by the cars the resort was full but it never felt that way. We would see folx in passing on the paths or at the bus stops but you don't hear kids running around like you do at some of the resorts. It is very clean and well maintained.

The resort was wonderful, especially the warm reception from knowledgeable staff at check-in. My family of 5 (including three teenage girls) adore Disney and we had high expectations for our stay. Where our experience left to be desired was the way the management handled an issue with our water pressure. Upon checking in after supper in building 38 in Trinidad, I noticed that there was no water in the sinks or shower when using the hot water. After leaving it on for a while (5-10 minutes) eventually something started dripping and then we had full flow for a while. As a family of five, washing our hands after using the toilet or showering before going to bed or in the morning, this was a major inconvenience. The next morning I called the front desk and they sent someone over right away, who removed the spout and handle in the shower and admitted this wasn't the problem. I was told we are the only room in the building with this issue. Eager to hit the parks and not miss our lightning lane reservations, we promptly left. Having this person in our room while we were all trying to start our day (get dressed, pack our back packs, eat breakfast etc) was not ideal, but we took it in stride. Returning late in the evening, the situation was the same. Once again, I contacted Front Desk while my family waited to shower and get ready for bed after a long day at DHS. I waited almost 30 mins and had to call back, being told that the front desk manager is trying to find a solution. Ultimately he called on my cell and offered to move us from the second floor to a room downstairs. Now I'm no plumber but it seems to me that if there is an issue with water pressure, this would not remedy the situation. But we packed up all our stuff and we assisted by a kind cast member at 1 am. By way of compensation for our late night, the front desk manager offered us Genie+. The next morning we got a later start as we went to sleep very late. Two cast members knocked on our day to tell us that the situation was remedied and wanted to check if things were fixed for us. This is when another guest passing by told me that they experienced the same problem. Now I recognize that the issue arose over Christmas Day and it is likely a difficult time to get a contractor over to fix water pressure issues. We were inconvenienced for two days and had to do a late night room transfer that didn't rectify the problem. Moreover, we were told that we were the only guests with this problem. And then, we discovered upon receiving our credit card statement after we returned home that the Genie+ was for only one day. I truly expected more from Disney. We would not have taken Genie+ for the other days of our stay if we didn't understand that it was only for the day after our room change. They should have moved us to a room in another building right away. In fact, they shouldn't have put us in building 38 at all (I find it hard to believe we were the only ones staying in this building when the proble

This was our second time staying at Caribbean Beach. Our first experience was a good one. This time around, it was OK. The Good: Price - for Disney resorts, this one was pretty reasonable; The Pool - great pool to spend a resort day; Room - we have 5 people in our crew, and this resort can get us all in one room. We even requested one of the new Little Mermaid rooms with a murphy bed. The room was recently renovated, and easily fit all of us and our crew; The Staff - you are at Disney. Everyone is happy, accommodating, and friendly; Location - you are right on the Skyliner, and can easily get to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and several other resorts; Food - our kid's favorite meal of the trip was at Sebastian's Bistro, and I enjoyed some fruity drinks during our pool day at Banana Cabana. The Not-So-Good: Construction; the entire Barbados section of the resort was being worked on. Location of Room: Our room was on the far end of the Trinidad area. The Disney magic was a little lacking there, as we faced an access road for the workers and not much else. In addition, our walk everywhere was a long one. You can usually expect that to be a big part of your Disney experience, but it felt pretty brutal this time around for some reason. We may not stay at this Disney resort again, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't check it out. The food, pool and convenience of the Skyliner are tough to beat. But if you stay, try and get a room closer to the main resort area. Your weary legs will thank you.

Lovely resort hotel at Disneyworld. We visited for 7 nights on our first ever trip to Disney. The hotel is lovely, and is really a resort rather than just a hotel as it’s so large. We stayed in the Trinidad part of the resort, which is about a 15 min walk from the main centre. The resort is nice, rooms were immaculately clean and very well maintained. We had a 5 sleeper room, so this included one double bed, one pull down double and a pull down single. There’s quite a bit of storage space and there was an iron and ironing board, decent hairdryer, toiletries, extra pillow and a blanket, small fridge, safe and a coffee maker (we couldn’t work out how to use it though!) The room we were in wasn’t particularly big, but it provided what we needed, and we were only in it really to sleep and get changed etc. Caribbean Beach was great for what we needed – the resort is quite spread out, but if you don’t mind walking, it’s really pleasant, and there is a bus actually runs round the resort if you want to wait for it. In terms of getting to the parks, we found the transport system excellent - the skyliner is brilliant. We loved it. Buses also good and we never had to wait for more than a few minutes for one. Only slight downside was that the main resort pool was being renovated, but it wasn’t an issue for us as we just used the pool near our block. We got coffee and drinks in our pre-paid refillable mugs from the spyglass grill every day. We also used the washing/laundry room at the end of our visit which was so helpful! The rooms themselves are not what I’d call luxurious, but they are well planned, pleasantly devorated and absolutely pristine.

Pretty medium. Room was pretty small and not great. Curtains were way too short & let tons of light in. Reminded me of an old motel from the 80s, and not in a fun retro way. There are better options out there. Buses & skyliner were nice transportation options, but about the best thing about the resort.
