I have 3 gripes; no free parking, only one operable elevator, had to pay an unexpected Preservation Fee of $15.00, State Tax of $1.42, City Tax of .75 and CVB Assessment .26 a total of $17.43.

A truly fabulous hotel. Great location, close to the French Quarter but far enough away to not hear it. Beautiful reception area and dining room. Nice breakfast. Lovely big bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again.

One of the great hotels of New Orleans, La Pavillon does not disappoint. The hotel has undergone an interior "refresh" and it is chic and wonderful.
Wish the hotel had daily room service, and had prior notice about the $90.00 per day incidentals "hold" on the credit card before booking. However the staff is very helpful and courteous as they are telling you about it.
PB and J sandwiches are always a very nice touch in the evenings. Missed the hot chocolate though!

I desperately wanted to love this property but it missed the mark on several things.
I can see the potential for this hotel to be a luxury hotel but it lacks attention to detail, exceptional service and cleanliness. The housekeeping missed my room one of the three days I was there and forgot to replenish items in the room on another. My heating didn’t work and we had temperatures in the 20-30’s and the TV was on the fritz. One evening I returned to the hotel to find the security guard asleep in the lobby.
I sincerely hope the property manager will take these things into consideration and strive to return this gem to its former glory.

Lots of noise from power tools. No electric on arrival, therefore couldn't issue room cards. Was told that breakfast was served between certain hours. Next day when we went down it was empty and the lights were off. Apparently they weren't serving breakfast on that day. Room had no soap on the first day and was told by one of the room cleaners that they had run out. One member of staff was indifferent to my sisters request for separate water as she was allergic to the oranges that were in the water cooler provided. Not a great experience for what is a lovely looking hotel in a good location. The TV didn't work for the whole time we were there. We asked when it would be fixed and was always told later that day! Paint smell from the redecoration.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Valet parking was handy. All of the staff was friendly and accomodating. Beautiful room with king bed. Lovely bathroom. Buffett breakfast was delicious. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants and a donut shop. Very quiet hotel with beautiful historic elegance. We will keep this place on our list of top places to stay.

They are working on the building scaffold and paint smell in the building. We didn’t have TV or phone for 2 day Cox was working it. Other those small problems we have a good stay. Staff was very friendly and informative about where to eat and things to do.
