Caravela Beach Resort

There were cockroaches in washrooms and flies in napkin stand by the bin.it was terrible on part of such a fancy resort which can't give priority to the basic of hopitalities - housekeeping and in room dining for which you have to attimes give multiple calls.

We initially were booked into a a hotel in North Goa which was styled as a "resort" but fell far below our expectations. We switched to the Caravela Beach Resort and were delighted. The staff are extremely well trained and attentive. The food choices in the different restaurants are very good. The grounds are very well tended and park-like. The pool is not large but was not very busy and we enjoyed our time relaxing in and beside the pool. The loungers were comfortable and lots of towels are provided. The beach is beautiful as are the sunsets which one can watch every day. It is astonishing that there is such a long beautiful stretch of white sandy beach but only this one hotel on the beach. The areas surrounding the hotel is also very pretty as one sees a lot of the Portuguese influence in the architecture in homes that are set in the jungle surroundings. If you are travelling in India and wish to visit Goa, I highly recommend this resort. The only negative was that the Internet in our room was poor but when we asked for assistance they provided us with a dongle which fixed the problem.

I regret to share my recent experience at Caravela Beach Resort, particularly during the dinner buffet. The staff lacked awareness of the offers and vouchers, providing misleading information that left us frustrated due to this , we didn't did our dinner at the hotel and outside options weren't accessible during night due to resort's isolated location They should clearly mention in mail itself whether they're offering it for per person or for family In the mail clearly our stay was upgraded which was denied at the dinner buffet.. attached screenshot for reference.. Unfortunately, the inconsistency continued even when escalated to the ***ager, who proved uncooperative and failed to address our concerns with the desired politeness. On a positive note, the property is well-maintained, offering various activities that kept the kids entertained. However, the staff's lack of support and communication skills significantly impacted our overall experience. Furthermore, the presence of weddings during our stay, without prior notification on the hotel's site, disrupted our quest for a peaceful vacation. While the property has its merits, improvements in staff training and communication are essential to ensure a more enjoyable and hassle-free stay for future guests. Additionally, it's disheartening to anticipate that the resort's response to this review will likely echo the generic replies we often see – lacking any substantial action to address the highlighted issues. The hope for genuine improvement and a proactive approach to feedback seems overshadowed by the expectation of a routine, impersonal response. This cycle diminishes the credibility of the resort's commitment to guest satisfaction

I had the pleasure of a organising 2 nights 25th event at Caravela. My work as an event planner was made easy by the awesome support and service I got from the team at Caravela. This is one resort where the staff never says no! And all of them are apt at multi tasking. The way to a guest’s heart is thru the stomach. My guests were all awestruck with the food served. It’s worthwhile to mention that all guests were from North India and getting compliments from them for North Indian food cooked in Goa is not easy. That exactly was done by Chef Amitava Paul and his team mates Birender, Jesu, Ram, Harris and Sourav. Each one of them were exceptional with Chef Paul personally supervising the food each function. Thanks Chef Paul and his team. Not to forget that the first impression is the last impression. Ms Kaity Furtado at the front Office for the Rooms. She has an amazing talent of staying calm and delivering a plus plus experience to the guests. Some names I do wish to mention are Rahul, Sanjana, Stephen (Travel Desk), Tushar Joshi with his backend support. Elston for his regular enquiry on any assistance required. Ketan for his support from day one. Being an event, it’s the banquets team which plays a very crucial role and they can make or break an event, but at Caravela we were blessed to get unconditional support from Diniz Honorato and his team including Raghupati Tripathi and Niranjan, Deepu at the bar and the boys under them. I can easily say that Caravela has the best team which backs you up and supports you. So Event ***agers if you are thinking Goa, think Caravela.

It is undoubtedly the best beach resort in Goa. North Goa is for touristy people who want to see busy markets and ******s . South Goa is for nature lovers and pristine white sand beaches. Caravella Resort is a cut above the rest due to the following reasons. We were assisted right from the time we landed at Dabolim , at the airport baggage belt area . Free pick and drop till airports if you book higher category rooms like villa etc. On arrival the check in smooth as butter but be ready to wait till 2pm as early check in is not possible. This place is busy from Dec till Jan. The rooms are well done with clean and laundry fresh linen and towels. Room service is quick and friendly. Three restaurants where I dined were all beyond expectations. Castaway restaurant is a poolside quick bite restaurant with ample sea food and pizza options and of course a vast array of drinks. Shirish served us really well with a smile on his face always. The island Bar in the middle of the large pool is excellent. Serves you drinks and snacks on the pool counter itself. The main restaurant with buffet area , I forgot it's name, is right below the check in area. The breakfast menu is elaborate and yummy. Mayank served us really well in that area. Last but not the least , the Beach Shack is the place I preferred after dark. It accepts orders till 11 pm. Both the nights I dined here. Every day they either have live singing or a magician Edmundo to trick or treat you. The few names at beach shack I can never forget. Neeraj , the guy who served us knew exactly what we wanted. Nitesh , Shani, Bapan, Jharna, Sapoon, all were amazing staff members at the Beach Shack. The Chefs - Rajeev, Tamil, Subroto, Joao, ***i Kanda are all excellent in their respective cousines. The Beach has powdery white sand and is approachable within 350 feet from the main resort. The garden and golf area is huge. It is a must visit place for all families and couples. Just go for it

I spent a few days at Caravela as a bit of a “time out” between the hustle and bustle of Mumbai and Delhi. It’s a wonderfully relaxed environment with plenty to do, see and dine on. Particular thanks to the staff down at the beach bars - they could not have been more helpful and attentive. Thanks Alishan, Bapan, Utkarsh, Shani, Sapoon, Jemi (and sorry if I missed anyone!) for making this solo female traveller welcome.

What a delightful place ! Well laid out with a direct access to the beach. The team was warm friendly flexible and efficient. A special shout out to the F&B team at the all day dining outlet. They were out to serve. Will definitely visit again.

We had came here for a business meeting we Loved this place and specially Ankit from restaurant was very kind and helpful and mario Ian and antika was also good they took a good care of us in the morning breakfast very good staff and very good hospitality
