Club Hotel Marina Beach

Booked for a last night holiday treat but it was the worst stay we had. Overpriced, so busy, noisy, loud music, just passable food, bored stressed staff. To top it off you have to purchase a €200 card even to buy 1 warm flat glass of Prosecco, the remaining money on that card is returned in cash, not great for the last day of a holiday 😂 One receptionist was lovely as was a young bellboy. Room was clean, public toilets dirty.

Most of the services closed, the quality of the food very low. Reception staff unfriendly, probably because of the poor management as they did not answer to basic questions or have authority to do decisions. Always had to go to the back room to ask management. I asked to talk to the manager, but he/she didn’t have the courage to talk to a customer. Challenging to borrow sport equipment, for example a basket ball was not available every day. The pools not heated, air condition not operational in the rooms. Room cleaning did a great job. We booked for a week, but left after four days. Nice location next to beach, but I would not recommend to anyone.

I’ve been here as part of my stay in italy. Everything was nice, good quality of food, also nice room, good staff, always smiling and very helpful Breakfast was the best part of this stay, good choice of sweet and savory food. This was a good stay for all of my family!!!!

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was lovely and made the experience special. We loved our bar server Manuel that treated us so special. Can’t wait to come back.

We arrived on an early flight from Manchester and the transfer time is around 1.45 mins. We arrrived at the hotel after lunch had ended but the hotel had kept food back for us and we had a light lunch - I thought that was a very nice gesture. We checked in quickly and paid the local tax. The rooms are basic, spacious, very clean and the shower is powerful and warm at all times of the day. The wi fi is very good and you can pick it up all over the hotel. The staff on reception are fantastic and always smiling and helpful. The pool is great it’s about a 40 metres ***** so you can swim 🏊 if you want to get some laps in and it’s big enough to be in the pool and not feel cramped. When we were there I was almost always the only person in there which was fab. The water is not cold in June - perfect for swimming. The hotel is a short walk from a great beach - take beach shoes as it can get shingly if you like walking along the sand. You have free beds on the beach that are owned by the hotel and you can have free soft drinks at the beach bar but not alcoholic. You can walk into the town, it takes around 15/20 mins - great bars to explore, check out the Sexy Pompia beer in the Matuk brewery shop, it’s lovely. There are great little shops and you can hire a car from Avis in the town as well, I think they leave cards on reception at the hotel. We went on a boat trip booked at the hotel reception- that was wonderful - really enjoyed it- we took the dinghy option and got to explore the coastline. Take water and a packed lunch from the hotel. The food at the hotel is great -lots of variety and mostly cooked to order to reduce food waste ( I hope!) - I like the fact they allocate you a table for food and it’s yours for your whole stay. It does become a bit ‘Truman Show’ but it’s a great idea. They will also make you up a great packed lunch if you and to explore and go off for the day. The staff in the restaurant are wonderful. The hotel is also very clean. I liked that. My only issues: I asked for the fridge in my room to be fixed 3 times and it was never fixed. That’s not good enough for an alleged 4* accommodation on Jet 2. On the plus side, when the kettle point set started smoking in the wall, they replaced the kettle straight away. No recycling bins and I know they recycle on the island as we visited other hotels with them when we hired a car. The food in the restaurant could do with individual labels so you know what you are eating and not just one big menu The orange juice at breakfast etc is awful - some fresh juice would be nice not that stuff out of a machine 🤢 There are not enough points in the rooms - we had one - simply fitting one double point with 2 usb ports would solve it. (See photo of the point we took it was the only one in the room that worked. I’d go back. The bar is physically not big enough for the amount of people at the hotel, but the service and choice is good.

I stayed in this hotel for 7 days in the middle of the May. Hotel was really quiet and peaceful, due to beginning of the season. Rooms cleaned every day. Swimming pool is massive. Gym really decent. Beach is just few minutes walk for hotel. Town is about 35 minutes walk from hotel. Free Parking spaces around hotel and in town as well. I never had problem with finding something to eat in hotel restaurant. Everything I tried was really good. Staff friendly and ready to help. I didn’t have to pay any extra charges for club or towels. Maybe they change it or was to early season yet. Special thanks and regards to Majrizio, who works in hotel restaurant. He is always helpful, open to friendly chat, professional at his job and very polite. He would accommodate you as much as he could. You can always ask him about any food recommendations or tips around town. He creates unique and friendly atmosphere, changing your experience to nice memories. Regards Robert
