Barceló Cappadocia

The cleanliness, breakfast and pool-spa area are very good, the room is comfortable but not every elevator goes to every floor and the balcony is very small and there was no view.

The hotel is very good, the welcome and attention was very good, it is a luxurious and clean hotel, I recommend it. Especially the bellboy Orhan was very interested and helpful, I thank him and all the hotel staff for their interest.

The priority for us was the location. The location was good, close to all the places to visit. The rooms were comfortable and clean except for a few missing items. We liked the open buffet breakfast. It was an experience that we were pleased with overall, thank you.

I can say that it is the best hotel that provides corporate services in the Cappadocia region. The staff is friendly, the rooms are elegant and modern, the breakfast and pool are very qualified. We were very pleased, thank you for everything.

My only complaint was that the concierge service at the reception hasn’t quite settled yet. It’s a new hotel, its facilities, rooms, etc. are in good condition. But we couldn’t get any help from the reception for renting a car, or a restaurant recommendation for dinner. They even had a hard time transferring the phone to room service… even if it wasn’t a problem, it was an amateurish, unpleasant moment. I think the staff had just arrived from out of town and there wasn’t a concierge infrastructure yet. I liked the location of the hotel. If you’re going for the “Cappadocia experience”, Ortahisar is a bit far from the other attractions in the city. And transportation is only possible with the village shuttles that don’t know when they’ll pass, or with your own vehicle. But as the name suggests, it’s actually a logical choice as it’s in the middle of everything and away from the chaos. * My only complaint was that the concierge service at the reception hasn’t quite settled yet. They even struggled to transfer a call to room service... Not a big deal, but it felt a bit unprofessional and took away from the experience. I guess the staff is also new to the area, and the concierge setup isn't fully in place yet. I did like the location of the hotel. If you're coming for the “Cappadocia experience,” Ortahisar is a bit away from the city's main attractions. The only way to get around is either by car or with local shuttle buses that don't really run on a clear schedule. But then again, as the name suggests, it's actually in the middle of everything—and staying away from the crowds can be a plus. So overall, it's a reasonable choice.

The location is not a problem at all if you have a rental car. Except for the location, I am very satisfied with the price, facilities, and room condition.
